Chronicles of Narnia in Limbo

Douglas Gresham, stepson of C.S. Lewis, literary executor, and film co-producer, announced in October, 2011, that the contract between Walden Media and the Lewis estate had expired.

Apparently, they're looking at 3-4 years before the next Narnia film is produced.

I am saddened by this.

If they let it go that long i think they'll just declare it dead in the water. I had real hopes for 'The silver Chair" finally being adapted!

Watching the Emerald Witch morph into the snake would have been cool.

Well, to quote Reepicheap, "you have nothing if you don't have hope". Going in favor of continuing the stories is the fact that they're proven money-makers. I don't think that anyone involved will want to pass up that kind of money -- $1-2Biliion worldwide gross for the 3 movies, thus far.
