Perhaps the thread name oughta be "has anyone seen....." and it becomes the check back, lost and found thread on the board.

Sort of like the old fashioned lost and found desk at the train station??

tho it could be uncomfortable having to spend time sitting in a huge pile of lost umbrellas until someone comes and claims you :-)
