Gather around pups, this old war dagget has a few things to say.

Im heading over to Viperqueens board, and going to hang there from now on.
So if anyone wants to talk to this old war dagget, come visit me there.
Before I go, Id like to hoist the Colonial flag and step up on a soap box....
One day, long ago, I was walking down the street in my home town. I walked past the local movie house. I noticed some strange movie I'd never heard of was playing.
I paid my $1.35 and went in and sat down.
After the movie I was awe struck. It had explained the stuggle of good and evil, in aspace genre, I saw all the things Id studied in the bible.
Where all the movies and shows Id ever seen before where in the here and now.
Only this new show told its story in the same fable fashion as the bible.
It was so abstract a concept, that I was amazed the the creator had nailed it all down. to a tee.
I knew the meaning of why we are here, and what we must do to survive the evil times we live in.
WHen the TV show came out I would gather with my friends every week and sort out the fable, and look for the true meanings. We even looked for historic and biblical references. WHen I first came to this board, there were those here that had the same reverence we we did all those years ago.
Now I fear the true meaning of BSG is lost. The youngers think its cheesy and lacks the grit and realizm of the new, and the olders have experienced the same as we did, and dislike the new for the modern, to earthly way it tries to explain away what the old offered.
I watched all the real BSG shows, and even at the time, some of it was just bad sci-fi of its time. My fav show was "Redeye" what you all know as "The lost Warrior" The story line was every mans fantasy. Yet the lights on the cowboy hats and music were more than we could bear.
When I asked jack if he minded I used his characters name for forums and games, he told me, that my beliefs are shared by others and as long as I kept them dear, he did have a problem. (he also said he never had a perm during BSG)

I've come to realize I cant sit and watch the war being waged between the TOS and GINO.
You all have seen my post and now you know why I say what I do.
