I was reading the latest Dreamwatch with the Dirk interview. He stated that his dream role would be to play Starbuck at the age of 50 in a battlestar Galactica continuation. Dirk also stated that before a remake is undertaken at least 60% of the audience should agree on the material. There was also an article that featured Richard's perspectives on os BG. he believed the stories would have been more indepth when season 2 rolled around. Aparrently he had no idea the plug was pulled on the show.

I'm glad Dirk would like to be aboard a continuation, but with the way things are now, I can't imagine getting even 20% of the audience to agree on the material....

You'd be surprised, nextceo. While the DeSanto production had its question marks (Apollo being the main one), I think 99% of the fans would have accepted that material. Get a production together that paid equal attention to the source material, and even if there are aspects that don't appeal to every fan, you'll get buy-in from just about every one of them.

One further note Starbuck vs Han Solo:
According to Dirk the winner would be:
Both would head to a bar, have a drink, smoke a stoggie, and pick up babes. Dirk is a class act.
