Thanks Gemini!!! That is truly AWESOME!!

A fitting tribute to a wonderful man, whose individual spirit was more like the son of KalEl than any story, real or imagined, could possibly have envisioned.

Affectionately,

Its nice to see Chris Reeve treated with respect. He left a lot of fine performances. And I think he really personified the kind, warm nobleness inherent in the Superman character.

We've seen many actors play Superman. But no one personified the character's personality like Chris Reeve.

You know something...

I saw a movie being shown on SciFi this weekend - it was the 90's remake of "Children of the Damned" and it has Chris Reeve and Kirstie Alley in it. I found myself watching the film even though I prefer the original 60's B&W British version.

That reason being was that it was my way of honoring the work of Christopher Reeve. He really was one hell of an actor regardless of the quality of the material he had to work with. When John Ritter passed away, I had a similar reaction and felt compelled to watch a few episodes of "Three's Company" when it shows up on cable.

They're really not gone, not as long as we don't forget them....

Best,
Bryan

Absolutly Gemini1999. right on we have lost may a wonderfull actor last year and two from superman :(

C, Reeves played a wonder full Clark Kent, but he as Thomas says (warm nobleness inherent in the Superman character.) that what I remember the most ..

I was look around for info on the new superman film and for the new actor and I saw this pic

it may only be me ... but he looks a little like Chris Reeves??..

Brandon Routh - whose birthday falls on the same day late 'Superman' actor Christopher Reeve fell into the coma that led to his death - is believed to have been asked by director Bryan Singer to play the Man of Steel in upcoming movie 'Superman V'.

Every actor who has played the man of steel has been great in the role. The new guy has a pretty big cape to fill. Its just too bad that CR couldn't have made it to have his cameo in the new film. :Nsad:
