It has been reported that Dick Clark, "America's oldest teenager" recently suffered a mild stroke. My understanding is that he still hopes to ring in the new year on ABC's New Year's Rockin' Eve, but his doctors and family would prefer him to sit it out this year. Mr. Clark mentioned a few years ago that in the event he isn't able to host Donny Osmond would take over. Mr. Clark's doctors have said that there's no need for alarm.

I hope he is alright. We all have a certain fondness for him. He seemed like one of the nicer, more down to earth people in Hollywood.

Doesn't seem that long ago he was doing "American Bandstand".
Did you know he played the murderer on the very last episode of Perry Mason?
