It was quite well written and dealt with the family of Adama and the Lords of Kobol for several generations leading all the way up to the Exodus to Cyrannus. The cover had a picture of a human male with wings (one up, one down), very Egyptianesque. Can't for the life of me remember what it was called. There were a whole series of manuscripts from this company, including an excellent encyclopedia-like book, I think it was called "Galactica Stuff". Not a very good title, but its content was excellent!
As for my take on it, as there really has never been any extensive work done on the subject, I subscribe to it entirely as there is nothing to refute it. I based a number of roleplaying games on the content of those books.

Update:
It was called "Galactica Stuff: A Colonial's Guide to the Galaxy - 2nd Edition" - 1988 Clean Slate Press & Sharon Monroe
The other more historical book referring to the exodus and the lineage of the Lords of Kobol is called, appropriately, "Galactica History: From Kobol to the Colonies" - 1994 Clean Slate Press & Sharon Monroe
As I mentioned before, both EXCELLENT books and highly recommended (IF you can find them, that is).
