I was cruising the Gateworld site. I have been a fan of that site for several years now. And today I checked out their links for Battlestar Galactica websites. And I found an amazing and wonderful description of us.

Although the reference was to "discussion board", they forgot the appearance of the site.

You, my friend Thomas, deserve a lot of credit for making this place so beautiful and easy to navigate.

Hmmm. Wonder what we did to piss them off?

I actually was wondering why you weren't listed too. I think a possible reason Cylon may not be listed is that they don't consider you a Battlestar Galactica forum. True, you have the cylon domain name, an image on the forums of a raider, but your site is extremely divergent featuring many scifi shows. Infact the forum itself doesn't inherently focus on Battlestar Galactica at all. For example there isn't a single forum dedicated specifically to the show.

They just may think CA is a general topic forum. :)

Thanks Pete. :D

I have to admit, I don't really think of us as the "leader". But the only way I think we lead is that we are the most optimistic forum and we stay away from anger and battles. The only think I can really think of besides phillosopy is that we are an extremely designy forum. Even better than Scifi.

So it may be simply judging a book by its cover. Not that I knock that. I kinda like that criteria.

STOP looking at things so damn negatively! *THWACK!*
I appreciate it D, but Its not a negative attitude. Its just that me and Don, while we are both retired admins, we did a year ago decide to stop trying to lead the fandom. And we decided it was better to be a happy backwater little island free of strife that a fan activist group with alot of inner feuding and turmoil.

When you *try* to lead, you ultimately fail.

Let things flow naturally, and natural leadership attributes take form.

Exactly. Also called "leading by example". :)
