View Full Version : A Quick Apology

I'd just like to apologize if I've seen a bit too on edge. I know I can react quite angrily sometimes, one time a Farscape fan at scifi.com came over the the SG-1 board and announced that Farscape fans were going to burn down the set. At another point I went to the Farscape Bboards, and suggested that they shouldn't focus on saving THAT SHOW, but rather the franchise as a whole (think spin-off, and miniseries, which ironically is what happened, I even posted my suggestion for a mini-series plot), and they weren't violent, but they made it clear they were going to ignore my suggestion. Due to this I gained a dislike of FS fans and after "The Peacekeeper Wars" was annouced I promptly went over to the Farscape Bboards, and started yelling that the PKW money should be going into reviving "Lexx" (actually I was surprised by how nice they all were, they mostly tried to avoid yelling at me).

In another ironic case I was getting fed up waiting for the grand death-scene I was sure Bratac was created for, the one that would make Spock look like a politician (in the sense that noone's sad to see them go). I went over to the SG1 Bboard and made a post about how they should let him go out in a blaze of glory, unfortunately I foolishly titled the thread "Kill Bratac", and noone read my post carefully enough to realize that I wanted him to die because I LIKED him.

Some of the cases that have occurred with me in the real world I won't even go into (let's just say I'm glad charges weren't pressed, and that was 2 years ago, so let's move on). Bottom line is, I want to see us all be a big happy family. If it was up to me TNS would go through a few seasons, at which point a TOS movie would come out, and be approved for a continuing TV show, and by the time that show premiered TNS would have wrapped up, so they could take turns being spun off over the next few decades.

I'm glad you are cooling down. I didn't why people not agreeing with you would get you so angry. People disagreed, but weren't trying to get in your face or anything.

Its good to hear an apology. It takes cajones to step up. :)

It wasn't so much that people were disagreeing with me, as I felt I was being pigeonholed as a hater of Science Fantasy.

In a family argument, if it turns out you are right--apologize at once.

Mustex, I think you just got called "family". Everyone has their days when they lose their cool. Helps to keep it in perspective: TV shows are fun to talk about but the earth won't rotate more or less today because of what's said about any particular one.

:) That's a funny quote, Ioraptor.

Funny how that turns out to be truth in many situations. :D

I've had to apologize for things not my fault just to keep things working along. :)

The apology is cool. We can all get a little excited at times. It happens when you are passionate about something. That said, while I don’t always read every string on the board, but I’ve enjoyed the line of your posts that I've been involved in. Good sparring partners are fun to cross blades, so to speak. Just remember that most folks here, even if they don’t share your opinion, will respect it. They may question it intensely, but ultimately will respect it. That’s one of the reasons I like it here.

:salute:

Peace,
