View Full Version : OT: Bonds marching towards All-Time Home Run Mark

For those of you who like baseball, Barry Bonds hit # 700, last night!

While he probably will not surpass Babe Ruth, this season, hopefully he'll put himself in a position to surpass Ruth AND Hank Aaron, next year!

I'll update this thread as he continues his assault on the all-time record.

I didn't hear! WHOA!

I do know some banker guy REALLY wanted that ball. He bought ALL the seats in right field for two games!

Eventually he thought that was too much money, so he sold alot of those seats but made the buyers sign a 8 page contract saying they would turn the ball over to him.

Guys like that really take the fun out of the sport. I heard that the Giants really raised h*** with the whole episode. My understanding is that he was 'scalping' the tickets, not just reselling them to get his money back.

yeah, look at the at player for the Rangers. He needs to be dealt with severely for his actions.

He 'should' be ....at most though he'll get a small fine and a smaller
suspension :rage:

Sorry for the delay --

Bonds hit # 702 on Friday, September 24.

(He was WALKED 5 times, 3 intentionally, on September 25.) No official at bats.

Today, September 26, he hit # 703.
