oh my ... I was looking at my BG dvd. And right as Zac and Apollo are launching from the Galactica for one brief second we see a surprise!!!!
Right after they exit the tubes there is a shot of them from the side, one from behind, then as you see them from the front look in the lower left corner!!!!
Oh poor Zac.... he never stood a chance.... he was marked for termination the moment he launched.

can you put a screengrab up ? We all know the reason Zac had to die was Rick Srpingfielf had a concert to go and do, but it would be interesting to see the shot !

One extra frame too far in a stock footage shot...There are a number of things like that in the series. My all-time favorite worst shot in the series is the Celestra's landing bay in TC, when Starbuck and Apollo are pulling in. The camera is too far back, and you can actually see the short nose and uncovered ribs of the hero-shot viper set piece that Apollo is in in the foreground. Talk about blowing the illusion!

JJR -
I never caught that until I saw the DVDs - I was also quite shocked that particular scene made it past editing. No wonder they had to take that Viper in for maintenance!!!
Best,
Bryan
