View Full Version : Obscure Sci Fi Well Wishes...

I thought this might be an interesting thread.

We all know the big three when it comes to Sci Fi Well Wishes.

1. Live Long and Prosper
2. Peace and Long Life
3. May the Force be with you.

But what about some of the more obscure ones? Wrack yer' thinkin' organs there folks and let's see what you uncover.

I will start with one from "The Last Starfighter". Centauri bids this well wish upon Alex Rogan. "May the Seven Pillars of Uluu bring you good luck."

So, what say you all? Any other takers?

Waiting with baited breath,
Martok the Baited Breather

In BsG's 'Gun On Ice Planet Zero',am I right in thinking that Apollo said 'Peace be with you' when saying farewell to Dr. Ravashol?

Also I have one from Babylon 5, from the Minbari - 'Valen go with you'

All the best,
Ian W359

Good responses, let's keep this going.

Anyone remember "Masters of the Universe" the live version of He-man that came out in about 86-87?

The well wish that Eternians seemed to favor was "Good Journey".

Respectfully,

I'm surprised you haven't mentioned this, Martok.

"Today is a good day to die", a traditional Klingon salute before going into battle, as well as "I hope you die well," and "Die well, sucka!" Well, maybe not that last one, but you get the idea. ;)

Not only will I hang my bat'leth in dishonor...I will also utter the universal shout of shame (which has greater meaning in the Original Klingon.)

Here goes.....

Penance served well. It is a good day to atone!

And btw I was making a joke with the batblade comment. That and I don't know how to spell battlebreath right.

;)

Speaking of battle cries, here's the Jem'Hadar pre-battle speech from Star Trek : DS9, normally spoken by the Jem'Hadar First -

I am First [Name of Jem'Hadar], and I am dead. As of this moment, we are all dead. We go into battle, to reclaim our lives. This we do gladly, for we are Jem'Hadar - remember, Victory is life!"

Although Miles O'Brien made up his own version, from the episode 'To The Death'

I am Chief Miles Edward O'Brien. I'm very much alive, and I intend to stay that way!
