I was cruising the net when I found some pics of Tricia Helfer who plays the new cylon. She is alot prettier than in the new show. I noticed that when I saw the SciFi Lowdown. She is alot prettier outside of Battlestar Galactica.

I’ll spare my comments about Six. If there ever where to be a Faithful re-make of Battlestar Galactica’s Saga of a Star World, you know something that looked, sounded and felt like Battlestar Galactica Tricia Helfer would make a great Cassie.

Well, Shiningstar, ya have to remember what Michael Rymer said about Tricia in THE LOWDOWN: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. "She has the ability to make men..stupid." :D

And yes, I completely agree that if a faithful remake were made, that Tricia would make an awesome Cassiopea. (Don't ever call her Cassis...she warns Starbuck of this in Glen Larson's novelization of Saga of a Star World.) :D

Ya know, if a faithful remake of Galactica were made, much of the cast of the new show could serve as the NEW GENERATION of fighters, crew, etc. Tyrol would be the ONLY one I would not change. His character fits in ANY GALACTICA.

I would definitely have EJO play Commander Cain, and perhaps have Katee Sackhoff play Sheba.

Just my humble two cubits worth.

Sorry Martok....can't agree with you on Tricia being Cassie in a BG coninuation movie, just don't see it. I also don't agee with Katee as Sheba, she dooes not have the acting ability in my opinion. Actually, Cain calls her "Cassie" all throughout Living Legend, while Starbuck more often calls her "Cass" than anything else.

As far as any of the cast members of this version playing legit versions of the original series characters.......no comment.

I never put too much stock in the novelizations as far as learning more about the characters go because they are just way too far afield from the episodes as they were broadcast.

Seeing a decently written Galactica story in published book form is alas something that has never happened from my standpoint.

I simply meant that some of us see the good in something as we are want to...and others see differently, as they are want to. Nothing bad meant by it.

You do not see the acting abilities of Katee Sackhoff or Tricia Helfer. I do. :)
You do not want to see Katee as Sheba, or Tricia as Cass.
I do, under ideal circumstances. But the circumstances for Galactica fandom as a whole are far less than ideal, sadly.

Not that it would ever happen. What I mentioned was actually an opinion offered up by someone else in this thread, long before I jumped in.

I know that somewhere along the way she had some kind of close relationship with Wolverine, but I don't remember if they were married.

However, it does seem to be the way in comic-to-movie translations that somehow the bad guys get "killed off" instead of "Drat's foiled again." Pretty soon, Xmen may run out of bad guys. Just like the Batman and Spiderman movies.
