Is felgercarb hi-carb or low-carb?
Can't ask Dr. Atkins because he's not around anymore.

Neither ..........You need to get the correct servings of food IN.

If you have any doubts as to what your should or shouldn't
be eating check out the diabetis association ............they use
their exchanges based on the food pyramid. And they can
tell you precisely what foods you should be eating in order
to avoid breast cancer and diabetis and heart disease. :rose:

The way to loose weight is not to cut out an entire food group, but to eat smaller portions.

end of your life you die

LOL! That is the perfect way to explain it. I heartily agree.

In my case that will work if I don't mind having the high BP, the
type 2 diabetis, having to use the inhaler again and not having
enough strength to walk to the bathroom let alone walk around the BLOCK

the way I am going about it is eating a small portions at breakfast a small portion at lunch and a practical portion for dinner. I drink water all day and have maybe 1 or 2 glasses of soda. I do walk a half hour a day unless its bad weather or I am busy with other things.

That sounds good to me bsg. Just be aware that the soda has alot of
sodium diet or not ...........and helps you to retain water.

I had success at one point in my life by rearranging the meals. In other words, I ate a full breakfast (eggs, bacon or sausage or ham, toast or english muffin, juice or pancakes, waffles, etc) moderately sized lunch (soup and sandwich or salad or "leftovers" or small meal), and then, a small dinner (rice flavored with dry cream of chicken cup of soup or cereal or a light snack - crackers and cheese, fruit, etc). I didn't eliminate any food group (or dessert) but, by re-arranging the calorie intake to have the highest amount in the early to mid portions of the day, it allowed me to have the greatest amount of time to burn off as many calories as possible. I exercised, moderately, usually walking about 2 miles a day.

End result: I lost 10 pounds in 4 weeks and ate anything that I wanted.

Now, if I could just play that song one more time! ;)

i know i just don't drink alot of it. I usually save that for the evening. i am a water person during the day. told the hubby last week that he ought to think about getting gatorade to take with him to work so he won't have to buy something to drink at work.

Water is very important, and most people don't drink near enough of it.
When I was working at wal-mart, I stood out by the garden gate....in the sun...in the summer...for 8 hours every day. I experienced serious dehydration, and began drinking 64 oz of Gatoraid a day, later, due to cost, I switched to water.
I've continured that tradition, last summer I bought a bottle cover that holds a 1.5 ltr bottle of water to make it easier to carry to work, and I empty it during my work day, plus I drink more at home.
I've inspired several people to drink more, and they have all said that after the initial getting used to it period, they do feel noticably better.
All I know, is that I notice it when I don't drink enough now.

my mom who is a diabetic and controls it through diet drinks alot of water. So for the trip coming up in a few weeks with hubby and my parents we have agreed on taking our cooler and loading it with water and soda to save money on the trip.
