Antelope, I greatly appreciate that, but please know that it isn't at all necessary. Part of the fun over at CA is the down and dirty debates.

I do value integrity very, very highly... my own, as well as that of those with whom I associate. Sometimes I wish I could embrace the SciFi Channel version of BSG. My life would be much simpler. But after 25 years of campaigning, screaming, begging... getting my hopes up... and coming so close in 2001... only to have my hopes dashed yet again. I know it can be hard to understand getting so worked up over a television show... and sometimes it seems like such a silly thing to be so passionate about... but we are emtional creatures, human beings, and I'm not at all sure we truly choose our passions, or whether they choose us.

That being said, I truly don't mean to try to deflate the passions of those who enjoy what Ronald D. Moore is offering. In truth, I suppose I'm a little jealous. Fans of that show are getting what they want... no waiting, or at least only a year of waiting, as opposed to 25. Good for them.

I just hope Old War Daggits such as myself can get that lucky, too.

Anyhow... thanks.

After 25 years you'd think our luck would change for the better....but we came close in 2001, so maybe there is still hope!

Amber, Tag,

Don't worry. Its not over. It will happen. We just have to wait a few years when the last few cogs finally move into place. Don't worry cause we don't hear anything. We will be the last to know.

Its like Halley's Comet. You can yell at it all you want, you can plead or beg. Form petitions for or against. But no matter what you do, its going to come and it will come. On its own schedule, not any of ours, not a day sooner or later.

But it WILL come.

Just give it a couple more years. It will come. :D

Regarding Tag and C-doubleF

I'm not a part of CFF. I was not part of its founding nor am I an acting member. And as a former now-retired admin I fought and took alot of crap cause I fought for the rights of TOS fans who liked the new show. (And BOY some people had issues with me for that!) And I refused to back down from that stance despite the fact that doing so would have made me more "popular".

So fans of that liked both shows can believe me when I say one thing about Tag's CFF, It is what it claims to be. Its an honest attempt to support the old show. At its core there is no animosity for the new show. Its on a completely different ambivalent track from the Moore project. And it does its best to steer clear of the rivalry regarding the new show. Some members may have opinions not favorable about the new show, but they have never done anything against the new show, nor have I seen any attempts to try.

Also, the timing of the ads with the enw show HAS to coincide. Its a must for the ad to be at its most effective. For those that don't like the show its a reminder of what can still be. For those who like the new show, it a reminder of what spawned it. If the enw show tanks, then it points out a better path then what Moore chose. If the Moore succeeds, its builds on the name Battlestar Galactica to bring back the original. That's not a conspiracy, its just sound business sense.
