For those of you who are interested, Venus will be making a transit of the
Sun on June 7th & 8th (depending on where you live). This is the first time it
has happened since 1882 and it will not happen again until 2012. Story at the
following link.

http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2004/02jun_viewersguide.htm?list997970

Edit: Uno - I got a "page can not be displayed error" so, I added this link for the article.

http://www.nasa.gov/vision/universe/watchtheskies/venus_transit.html

I'll check the "headlines" and see if there is something missing on the link.

Some additional information on the Transit Times:

The link below provides information about the Transit Times and provides additional links for transit times for various cities around the world.

http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/transit/TV2004.html

The times are listed in "Universal Time" which, as explained, is the equivalent of Greenwich Mean Time.

(Pay close attention if your area participates in Daylight Savings Time.)
