View Full Version : Why no opening speech on DVD?

I'm just curious if anyone knows why the "There are those who believe" speech isn't included on the DVDs (except for "Saga of a Star World"). It was on the original broadcasts, wasn't it? (I think I remember it, but the number of people who remember the Biggs scenes from the original Star Wars demonstrate that the memories of 7-year olds isn't too accurate.)

Assuming they did it, when was it? I'm assuming it's after the "coming attractions" clips but before the actual main credits.

Thanks!

Actually on the original broadcasts it was no longer used after "The Young Lords" except for "Take The Celestra" and on the DVDs that opening does occur on all the episodes up to Young Lords and then not again until TTC. OTOH, I do have a memory of it being used for the intro for "Greetings From Earth" but it's not on the DVD there, so go figure.

Guess I didn't watch the DVDs closely enough. This sounds like a good excuse to watch them again as soon as I get through them the first time! ;)
