Your IQ score is 126

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results.

My score was 129. Taken before my morning shower and caffiene - pretty good.

"Your Intellectual Type is Word Warrior. This means you have exceptional verbal skills. You can easily make sense of complex issues and take an unusually creative approach to solving problems. Your strengths also make you a visionary. Even without trying you're able to come up with lots of new and creative ideas. And that's just a small part of what we know about you from your test results. "

Rowan, I like this test better than Mensa's practice one. It felt like it made more sense!

Your IQ score is 133

Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

The only thing goofy is I suck at higher math!

I hear ya Jewels...about the high math! but then math is a lot about practice, practice, practice, and having the right teacher!
Jewel I thought the Menas practice quiz was not as straight forward as this one too, it's definitely a notch above this one. Did you do as well on that one?

Your IQ score is 138

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Tickle's Classic IQ test. Your IQ score is scientifically accurate; to read more about the science behind our IQ test, click here.

During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We analyzed how you did on each of those questions which reveals how your brain uniquely works.

We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test. According to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Visionary Philosopher.

This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. Hmmm...it spit out results for me that are identical to Rowan.

First time I have ever scored under 150 on an IQ test, so I have my suspicions about its accuracy, or I am getting stupid as I get older.

I think all of you could safely add about 30-50 points to your scores.

Note also that IQ is not as related to "success" in life (loosely defined as income, academic/occupational success, marriage, personal satisfaction) as are traits like the capacity for gratification delay, impulse control and the directed expression of anger. Lot's of smart people walkin around out there not livin lives you'd imagine based on their intellect. And as for less intelligent people being succesfull, just turn on the TV....

Here are my results:
Congratulations, Jen!
Your IQ score is 126

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Insightful Linguist. This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results. (Which, when translated, means that I stink at math!)

But, I think the IQ points are low as well (or the coffee hadn't kicked in yet) as my IQ was much higher when I took a "real" test yea these many years gone by... ;)

Still, it got the Linguist part right. When I took the Army's DLAB (Defense Language Aptitude Battery) I got the highest score they had ever seen. They were devestated when I decided to not wait for an opening in the Language School... I wish now I had, life would have been very different.

The DLAB is a crazy, fun, exciting and challenging test, I loved taking it. They make up a language and give you a few clues as to grammar and then you have to translate it into English. Anyone who has trouble learning other languages would not enjoy it, though.

And as for less intelligent people being succesfull, just turn on the TV....How very true...here I am at 40 with nothing to show for it, no husband, children, no job, (well I'm a student but...) and I don't own anything, so by societies standards definitely not a success! even though I have 7 years of college. So that is a very good point.

The man who has the highest IQ ever tested, (His IQ is so high there are no tests for him) is working as a bouncer for a bar in the USA. He lives in a very small little shack really, in what to most of us would be considered poverty, but he's happy he says.

I agree, it can't be entirely accurate. I remember taking the standard reading-comprehension equivalency test back in the day, and scoring at 3rd year college level- at age 10. Most of the linguistic questions seemed to be pattern recognition.

I don't think these tests are very accurate, either, as they only address a narrow parameter of 'intelligence'. What is intelligent? Accurate memorization? The ability to apply a process? What about creativity- the ability to draw from unrelated elements and come up with a new concept?

More in support of the gratification delay theory:

There was a study published a few years ago, where they took a group of children and offered them candy. They gave them the choice of getting one piece of candy today, or two pieces of candy tomorrow. The kids who chose to wait (delaying gratification) scored an average of 200 pt's more on their SAT's (definitely NOT an intelligence test) than the group who chose to have candy that day.

The power of saying no to yourself....

Well Then... if it's all about gratification delay I'm the master 'cause that is the story of my life....Saying no to myself is easy for me I say it constantly, from no you can't afford to spend money on that to no you have to be responsible about that, no you can't have children yet, No no no no no, the hardest part for me is saying yes....

Rowan, your Emotional IQ is 139.

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Tickle's Emotional IQ test. But your Emotional IQ score is much more than just a number: it's an indicator of success.

Research has shown that people with high emotional intelligence scores — not necessarily those with the highest IQ scores — tend to be the most valued and productive employees and have the longest and happiest romantic relationships. They can't possibly be talking about me in this case.........

So, where are you most emotionally smart? Your test results show that your strongest suit is empathy — your ability to see things from someone else's point of view.

I like the Brain Test, here is what they said (and I agree with everything, even algebra. I loved algebra and hated geometry): Jen, you are Left-brained

Most left-brained people like you feel at ease in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and linear, analytical ability. Whether you know it or not, you are a much stronger written communicator than many, able to get your ideas across better than others.

It's also likely that you are methodical and efficient at many things that you do. You could also be good at math, particularly algebra, which is based on very strict rules that make sense to your logical mind.

Rowan

Thanks Uno!

Rowan, you are Right-brained

Most right-brained people like you are flexible in many realms of their lives. Whether picking up on the nuances of musical concerto, appreciating the subtle details in a work of art, or seeing the world from a different perspective, right-brained people are creative, imaginative, and attuned to their surroundings. very much me

People probably see your thinking process as boundless, and that might translate to your physical surroundings as well. Some people think of you as messier than others. It's not that you're disorganized, it's just that you might use different systems to organize (by theme, by subject, by color). Straight alphabetization and rigidly ordered folders are not typical of right-brained behavior. Although I'm quite organized when it comes to files etc.

You are also more intuitive than many very. When it comes to reading literature, you probably prefer creative writing or fiction over nonfiction. And when it comes to doing math, you might find you enjoy geometry more than other forms like algebra.

Yes I would say that accurately describes me

Is anyone else like me????????

I'm a Balanced-brained person!!!!! I never heard of someone like this................
I guess the reason I am so tired sometimes is that I use both sides of my brain!:)
Below is what was said about having a balanced brain.............

Amber

That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.

When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.

While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.

amber, I have never heard of that, but it sounds incredible. I sometimes wishe I were a little more right-brained or had a balance like you do.

On a silly note, I am a "Great Dane" at work (yes, they even test to see what breed of dog you are at work...): Jen, you're a Great Dane at work. As a Great Dane, you are natural leader and a vision of nobility. With your dignified manner, you command respect from those around you, and that's because you strike an even balance with the most valued of work ethics.

I like Great Danes, they are very noble and sensitive creatures, so I am OK with that description.

What Type of Flirt Are You?

Were you just winking at us? We couldn't quite tell... In fact, we think it's pretty safe to say that you're a Subtle Flirt — you're a master of the flirting game. You know how to attract attention from anyone, any time. A quick come-hither smile, a little game of look-away-and-look-back-again — before long you have the object of your affection wrapped around your little finger. One of the best things about your approach is that it's discreet. You can always act innocent and coy if something gets taken out of context or misunderstood. Just make sure you're not too subtle, or you may end up playing the game all by yourself.

You're On the Verge

We won't call the Vice Squad quite yet, but you're just a few crazy nights away from officially becoming "naughty." You've broken your share of rules — maybe had a few flings, taken some serious risks, embellished the truth every now and again to save your skin — but you're still nice when it counts. If it's dangerous, cruel, or really illegal, chances are you haven't done it. Which is probably just as it should be. We all like to walk on the wild side now and then (it can be so much fun to be bad!), but it's important to strike a balance and keep your urges in check. You're doing pretty darn well so far — keep up the good work!

Who's Your Celebrity Soul Mate?
Rowan, your celebrity soul mate is someone who's Indie

You're probably not one to take the path most traveled. In fact, an independent spirit like you would much rather carve out your own special niche. So it's only natural that your romantic match would be required to do the same.
Someone who's unique, intelligent, maybe a bit serious and brooding is right for the part. An indie actor like Johnny Depp seems best suited for that role. And it only makes sense that you'd rather have your rendezvous at places that are under the radar — just like you!

The Multiple Intelligences Test
Rowan: social intelligence

You've got people smarts! Social intelligence refers to the ability to read other people and react appropriately. As a result, you probably have a pretty keen sense of others' motivations most of the time. It's likely that you can also spot the difference between what people say and what they really mean.

This understanding of behavior and human nature can help you go far. After all, it's been said that it's not what you know, but who you know that counts. And you have a way with people. Your social intelligence may manifest as having the gift for gab, being a top-notch networker, or an excellent listener and friend.

People with high perception skills like yours, however, tend to rely on them to the exclusion of others. Even if you're not Hollywood's hottest star (yet), we can tell you've got the potential to turn heads nonetheless. Whether you're in the spotlight or helping out behind the scenes, it's clear that you've got an understated allure underneath that sometimes-quiet exterior.

So who's right to play the part of your leading co-star? Only a hot ticket with sex appeal and sultry style to spare can keep up with a rising star like you. A stunner like Jude Law has the brains, beauty, and talent to be your match. From awards shows to dinner dates at swanky hot spots, you'll be the latest "It" couple to add sizzle to Tinseltown. Just tell your agent you're looking for someone sizzling to co-star in your love life, and you'll be sure to find them. And that's a wrap.

With regards to nursing, I'm hanging in there although sometimes I desperately want to quit they sure know how to beat the will out of you! You would never know that everyone else thinks that they need nurses we have like a 40% failure rate at the school, they will fail you in clinical at the drop of a hat, for things a nurse wouldn't even bat an eye at.:/:

You're a Lethal Weapon!

You're open-minded, enthusiastic, and popular. Chances are you might even break the rules sometimes. You're motivated and serious, and you always jump at the chance to take on a new project. Innovation and abstract thinking are your strengths.

You get cabin fever if you're cooped up too long. Sometimes you'd rather just work on an independent project so you can concentrate without having to deal with people. And you secretly question your self-worth.

The Ultimate Personality Test
Rowan, you're an Observer!

That means you're one of the more kind-hearted people around. You are unusually intuitive, and you probably understand yourself, as well as others. That also means you're a good mediator — though you may prefer to spend more quiet time on your own than most.

Because of the self-knowledge you already possess, you are better equipped than many to steer your life in the right direction. Understanding more about the components of your personality will reveal unique information that even people like you might not realize. And the better you know yourself, the more confident you'll be making decisions that affect your life.

How do we know this about you? Because while taking the test, you answered questions that measure the basic traits that make up your personality. We scored your answers on different personality characteristics and discovered not only that you're an Observer, but where you stand on those proven scientific scales.

The fact that you're an independent person who is usually able to handle things in a self-sufficient manner really draws people to you! But that's not the only thing. Your answers on the test indicate you're an honest person who values the truth and is sometimes willing to make sacrifices in order to uphold it. You are a smart person who is more able to understand complex concepts than many other people are, too.

In all, there are 15 qualities that help define you when you're at your best.
We've found that your particular combination of qualities is rare — only 1 in 10,000 people share the same general mix of traits.

I have just done "What is your best quality"

Sorrell, your best quality shines through in how Articulate you are

The fact that you're great at expressing yourself and can be at your best when articulating your ideas or communicating with others really draws people to you! But that's not the only thing. Your answers on the test indicate you're a caring and considerate person who is typically very loving, as well. You are a funny person who is likely known for your great sense of humor, too.
In all, there are 15 qualities that help define you when you're at your best. Those are the traits potential employers, friends, and partners look for in you. What makes you unique is your particular distribution of those 15 qualities.

We've found that your particular combination of qualities is rare ? only 3 in 10,000 people share the same general mix of traits. Those are great odds if you're trying to show a potential employer, colleague, friend, or date why you're exactly the right person for them.

I agree with all that, what a nice person I sound! :)

The 5-Factor IPIP Personality Test
Rowan, your most unique quality is that you're unusually Inspirational

You inspire others around you with your creative energy and thirst for new experiences. You are exceptionally curious and aren't afraid of learning new things — which is probably because you tend to focus on the potential positive outcome of any experience rather than dwelling on the potential negatives. You are a true explorer in the word. You want to understand and experience it all, and you're especially open to new feelings and ideas.
Compared to others who are open, your top trait = FANTASY: are unusually imaginative
AESTHETICS: are unusually appreciative of art and beauty. Only 2.1%
FEELINGS: are unusually accepting of your own and others feelings. Only 6.0%
ACTIONS: are unusually interested in having new and unusual experiences. Only 2.1%
IDEAS: are unusually curious, with a broad range of interests. Only 2.3%

VALUES: are unusually flexible in your thinking. Only 6.5%

Only 1.8% of all test takers have this unique combination of personality strengths.

Jen, you're an SUV!

The car for you is none other than an off-road, four-wheel-driving SUV. A Toyota Landcruiser, Nissan Pathfinder, or Jeep Cherokee—take your pick. How about something in a forest green or steel blue? Maybe you're fronting as a serious professional, but deep down you're a weekend warrior at heart. Read more about your perfect car...

And guess what kind of car I own? A forest green Jeep Cherokee... go figure.

I took the IQ test on a bad day and got a 133. I love math (I used to teach Algebra and Geometry) so some of it was easy

Congratulations, Laura!
Your IQ score is 133

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Tickle's Classic IQ test. Your IQ score is scientifically accurate; to read more about the science behind our IQ test,

And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results.

True Talent Test

Rowan, your true talent is spatial ability

Your ability to visualize objects in three-dimensional space gives you a unique view of the world. Because of this talent, you are much better than most people at imagining new designs including floor plans, page layouts, and three dimensional objects.

How do we know that's your true talent? While you were taking the test, we calculated your responses to each test question and rated your skills in 5 areas. You scored highest on spatial ability.

People like you are usually great when it comes to putting together assemble-it-yourself furniture or other household items — whether the items arrive with instructions or not. Your spatial skills also help you understand the finer points of how things work.

This is very true I can tell just by looking at a piece of furniture if it will fit in a space or not even if I'm in a store looking at the furniture and the space is at home. I can also visualize (like from a drawing) how something will look when it is built, it's just like a photograph in my head so it's easy to see where the problems might occur because I can take the image and move it around and see it from various angles...Chris can't do this so it's very hard when I sketch a picture for him explaining how it will look because he can't visualize it at all.

Thanks, Rowan. I'll try that. A lot of people think that they are not very good at math. I find it is usually because of the way they were taught it in school. Math text books frustrate me. Often they are written by people who love math but haven't a clue how to communicate with young people. I was teaching from one math text that I kept finding errors in. (Talk about confusing the kids) It had things like unintended implied reciprocals in some of the story problems. So many young people grow up thinking they are not very good at math. There are a lot of adults that want nothing to do with math. Anyway, with your score on the IQ test, and seeing for myself how many math skills were required, you are probably not as bad at math as you think.

Rowan
May 26th, 2004, 05:49 AM
Well thanks Laura there is a part of me that loves math especially algebra, I even took linear algebra I liked vectors really understood them (probably because of the spatial ability like the test said) but I have had too many awful teachers and a shaky beginning that makes the foundation of my understanding unstable so to speak. I actually have far more trouble with the basics like decimals and fractions then I do the higher stuff. Some people can flip around with these two things because they understand their relationship to each other I cannot. Basic stuff like that is a challenge, so when I'm doing something higher if one of those is thrown into the equation I'm thrown off. I'm the kind of person who can seem to pull an answer to a math question out of thin air but have no clue how I got it I just somehow know the answer, not always of course just sometimes. I remember my math teacher in college teaching us logic just for the fun of it to show us the different types of stuff out there for math(if/then) I grasped it instantly and could do it in my head, he wanted us to show our work but that just messed with my ability to do it in my head. He argued with me in front of the rest of the class that it was not possible to do it in your head not with that many sections to it, yet I got them all right, it just seemed logical and easy to me. It took me 5 tries to pass 11th grade math, I got a C+ finally! But I've never gotten past that level, I hope to someday if I ever find the right teacher who could help me with the basics. It's a shame too because poor math skills has kept me from pursuing my dreams.

Laura
May 26th, 2004, 06:11 AM
It's sad to be held back by poor teachers or a poor educational system. I have seen it happen many times. Children are capable of much more than we adults give them credit for. Look at language studies. It is much easier to learn a new language when you are young than when you are an adult. Isn't it logical to assume that the same may be true about learning other types of things.
I hope you find a good math tutor. Maybe then you can reach your goals and fulfill your dreams.

I took a Creative Writing class in high school and the teacher had such a high opinion of my writing that he stopped reading my papers and used to just scrawl across the top "A+ Great job!" I took the class so that I could receive constructive criticism and improve my writing, so I was understandably upset. So, I started turning in the worst drivel you will ever see. One poem was called, "The Alphabet of Curses" and the first line was A is for Arsenic..." I got an A+ on that one too. I know that teachers are overworked and underpaid, but it is still wrong that only half of the class ever seems to get help.

Just my $0.02, I'll go put the soapbox away, now.

I haven't been to Florida since I went to Disney World in... 1984?! (I don't count flying in to Miami on my way to elsewhere, of course.) Good Gad, it's time to go back to Florida! I had an awful lot of fun there and it is beautiful, but so very flat. I live on a big hill and cann see a ski area in Massachusetts from my deck. I could never give that up even for better weather. My great aunt and uncle were living in Ft. Myers so I did have a chance to see a little bit outside of Disney World.

I know what it's like to have land your family has owned for generations call to you. I live on land that has been in my family since the 1700's. My grandmother lives on the same street in a farmhouse that nine generations have grown up in. After a while, it doesn't matter if you've lived there for a few summer days or all your life, that farm calls all of us back, no matter how far we roam.

I dunno; I think Darth Marley is right about the point spread. I got the impression that if you get every question right you get a 150.
Still, it's fun and challenging.

The Emotional IQ, on the other hand, is a little trickier. If you mark the answer that you would actually do (like I did), then you're getting a "personality test". If you put down what you think is the "right" answer, then it's more of an emotional "IQ", but heaven knows we don't always do what we really think we ought to do. So I'm not going to put down that I got a 119 (oops, I shouldn't have said that. I really shouldn't have said that.)

onepath your summer dream job is a Road-trip Warrior

Mad Max may have been first, but with your wanderlust and three empty months, there's nothing but an open road for you and your bandit crew. OK, so it's no post-apocalyptic wasteland you'll be traveling, but the warrior in you can certainly find the road less traveled — whether you get there by beat-up old jalopy, beach cruiser, or barefoot.

The wind in your hair. Bugs in your teeth. It's an adventurous spirit that helps you scope out the hot spots in unfamiliar territory...and even ask directions when, gasp, you get lost. So be sure a desk job doesn't tie you down this summer — for your wild ways, it's a one-way ticket to no-man's land.

Just tried the car test (Which Car Matches Your Personality).....

Ian, you're driven by getting from here to there

You're all about the substance of relationships, not the flash and panache. You're focused on spending time with people and on doing the things you want to do more than the way in which you do it. Sometimes you have to deal with limited resources, but that doesn't mean your life can't be exciting and rich. Just the opposite. You're probably a champion for the underdog, too. Where most people see flaws, you see the character that brings people, and even cars, to life.

So what's the perfect car for your personality? Anything with a history that can get you, well, from here to there, in comfort. Ready for a test drive? A used car might have the right personality (and impact on your wallet) for you.

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a used car in about 6 months...

Well, I did have a soft spot for these little 3-wheeled cars, but after some deliberation, I thought they wouldn't be practical.

So, I'm thinking about an MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) which in this particular case is a sort of car/van hybrid (the ones I'm considering include the Renault Kangoo, the Fiat Doblo & the Citroen Berlingo).

I'm looking for a car with a lot of space for junk, cos I've got a lot of junk!

What Kind of Kisser Are You?

Rowan, you're a Passionate Kisser (LOL!;) )

That's right, you've got all the moves. There's something about your approach to kissing that's natural, smooth, and ultimately, very charming. You know that to lure your mate you need to play the part — from knowing all the moves to looking pulled together — whatever that means for you.

Some may call you a player, but we know that all the flash and show with which you attract your dates is a cover for what you're really after — a terrific connection with someone who likes what you have to offer.

You're more confidant than some when it comes to matters of the mouth, which is why you may be used to delivering seriously smoldering smooches. Just remember that while you're gooooood when you rely on your standbys, a little spontaneity might be even better.

What's Your Romantic Fantasy?

Rowan, looks like your romantic fantasy is Breakfast in Bed!

There are few things better than waking up to the smell of hot coffee and sizzling bacon, or fresh fruit and granola, especially when it's right under your nose. What is it about the combination of breakfast and bed? It can be more intimate than a candlelit dinner, yet as comfortable as an old pair of slippers. And this is only the start of your Breakfast in Bed romantic fantasy.

Yours is a dream inhabited by your trusty sweetheart and reliable soul mate, not by mysterious men from exotic places. Whether it's a cozy night next to a roaring fire, or an evening eating pizza straight from the box while wrapped up in a blanket on the floor, you love the fact that your fantasy doesn't need to venture far from reality. (This is soooo me! LOL!)

That doesn't mean you don't like a good surprise every now and then. Flowers on your pillow or tickets to the hot new show are enough to provide a year's worth of future daydreams. Very true! :D

Rowan, your values help make you a Gentle Protector

You're one of those rare people who'll typically go out of your way to protect the vulnerable from harm. You also appear to be more personally concerned about situations that violate innocents' rights than many people are. This kind of empathy, coupled with your ordinarily giving nature, can make you a real crusader for the underdog. Interestingly enough, it seems your care for other living things goes beyond your fellow humans. As a result, it's likely that you count yourself as a friend and protector of the earth around you, as well.
