Rite Aid's pet charity is Children's Miracle Network, our drive is April through May, and the manager decided we would have a bake sale every Saturday. So I have been contributing, baking a cake every week for the sale. I believe I have mentioned this cake before. So, every week my apartment fills with the wonderful aroma of this cake, and releases the fragrance when I frost and cut it. It's horrible to see and smell these cakes and not eat any of them.
I cracked tonight. I baked a half a cake for myself. :duck:

Tell Mrs Dawg it is a rich, moist, chocolate cake, very spongy and yummy. And the recipie is very flexible, I think just about every ingredient in it has been substituted at one time or another by the family. I've often wondered what it would be like without the cocoa. Maybe I'll make it like that for my birthday.

Oh, yum. She says "Now stop teasing, and give me the recipe."
She'll swap your recipe for her recipe for chocolate cheesecake......

Well, when I got to work, everyone looked at me and said "What bake sale?"
I'm a bit peeved at the moment. And I won't be baking them anymore cakes.
