I'm not sure how relevant this is, but the UK BBC's second terrestrial TV channel BBC TWO celebrates it's 40th birthday today! The channel began broadcasting on 20th April 1964 with its first color broadcast on 1st July 1967.
BBC TWO was the broadcaster of the last two UK terrestrial runs of Battlestar Galactica in 1997/98 and 2000/01.
