I was twelve.
The place where the pipes met in concrete was the bridge of the Galactica. The manhole cover was the transporter. My stick was my lightsaber, but could double as Glamring Foe Hammer (Gandalfs sword). Occasionally my friends put cardboard boxes over their clothing and thus became stormtroopers and cylons.
Somebody gave us silver spray paint and they were always Cylons after that.
It was fun being twelve.

I was all of 18 yahren old when Battlestar Galactica hit the airwaves..... I had already bought some of the toys (you're never too old...!) and read many of the magazine articles - I couldn't wait for September 17th!

As I said on the poll, I was 13.

HAd the paper back book by the premiere, saw the movie in the theater twice and bought the Marvel Super Special and the comic books.

Great memories. Hope to have better ones when the movie finally airs...

I was six and watched it with my dad, who was a true sci fi fan. As for toys, my neighbor Jack had all (and I do mean all, every single one, lucky you-know-what) of the Star Wars toys, so we used those instead. He lived with his very conservative grandparents who were absolutely horrified that his best friend was a girl! I always made sure to wear my rattiest jeans and oldest shirts when I went over for a visit - even then I had fun thumbing my nose at gender stereotypes!

I was the ripe old age of 10. For me the only thing that I was watching was re-runs of Star Trek and Space 1999. When BSG hit, I was in Heaven. I had the toys, and thought Starbuck was the man. I just couldn't get enough of my favorite shows. My wife still has to fight for my attention, when my shows come on. :D :thumbsup:

Wow, I think I was 10 when I first saw Battlestar Galactica. I loved it as well as Space 1999, Star Trek and of course, Star Wars.

I still watch all the old Sci-Fi shows whenever they air, but Battlestar Galactica is the one that won my heart.
