I was just reminded of a little memory I had.

When I was in I think it was 8th grade or around then, I had to do an interview for a class with someone important. Well being a latchkey kid, I knew hardly anyone but my friends. Buuuut I really loved The Incredible Hulk. And later that miniseries V. So being a dumb kid I decided to call up Nicholas Corea who created the show.

And he took the call!

Being fairly organized I had prepared my questions beforehand, And I recall the interview lasting something like half an hour. He was really great! I was some dumb kid who just called him out of the blue. I was too dumb to know I shouldn't do that. But he treated me like I was special. Plus he told me stuff about the show I never heard before.

So sometimes... The powers that be will listen. Trick is in how you approach them. And are you lucky?
;)

Hey you two!

I remember he talked about upcoming shows, and how they came to write them...I think... I barely remember the phone call. It was 25 years ago I think.

I remember recording the phone call with some sort of spy gizmo from radio shack. I of course told him I was recording the call. I wish I had the tape still. But knowing me I recorded over it with Lisa Welchel singing when she was a mousketeer. I had SUCH a crush on her back then.
:D

Thomas... you and I have that in common! I was in love with Lisa Welchel all thru the New Mickey Mouse Club and The Facts of Life. When the (not-so-good) Facts of Life reunion aired a couple of years ago... I was like "Damn. She's STILL hot."

But, then again, so was Tootie. She grew up rather... well.

This illustrates the wise saying that a measure of a man's character is how he treats somebody who cannot possibly be of benefit to him. Mr. Corea obviously is a man of high class! We should all aspire to be like that!
