600 million tv viewers

Battlestar Galactica when it aired got either 30 or 60 million viewers. I always get the number mixed up, but its one of those two. The new one got like 4 or 5 million.


But what really puts all shows in its place, was the Neil Armstrong-Buz Aldrin Show. This one of a lifetime event, no... one of akind in the history of all men kinda event, this got 600 million viewers!!!!!

Pretty impressive number eh? And no damn commercials either!!!:thumbsup:

I was tempted to go sarcastic comedy, and explore the moon landing as a hoax theory, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Yes THAT was VERYYYYYYYY Impressive! I especially LOVEDDDDDDDD the

Oh and the original got 67 million viewers ...................and the mini
got 4 million if the ratings were correct ..................which I believe it
might have been

July 12 1969 "The Eagle has landed"...poor Michael Collins he always gets forgotten. I was almost 5 1/2 yrs old but I remember it clearly. We were at my grandmother's cottage up on Lake Newago. The night before the landing my mother took me outside onto the balcony and pointed up to the moon and told me tomorrow people would land there and walk around for the very first time and we could watch it happen all the way back down here on Earth. The next day we were glued to the black and white TV watching it unfold. So she could hardly argue with me on April the 12 1981 when I begged to be allowed to stay home and watch the first space shuttle Columia take off. I had to work when the Columbia took off .........but I got to watch the
Columbia take off at work ............ :D ........it was TRUELLY magnificant!

I remember, in grade school--4th, 5th, & 6th grades mainly, if a moon landing occurred while we were in school, they would set up a TV in the cafeteria and let us older kids go down and watch it. It was 'history in the making'.

I'll never forget the Apollo missions. In some ways, it seems like only yesterday.

...and another thing,

IF....anyone goes to Florida, specifically the Kennedy Space Center, GO to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. It's on the road that goes out to the Cape.

At the Astronaut HOF, you'll find an incredible amount of information about the missions, the astronauts, and a really cool "dual" timeline. It's set up with a 'real world' time line on top and an astronaut-space mission timeline on the bottom. It was really neat to compare the missions with what else was occurring in the world.

By itself, the HOF could take up a good chunk of the day. So, you want to allow enough time to see it.

What I remember of the First Moon Landing was that it was the most incredible moment in my life. It was like you felt like a part of the history. It was an amazing time. Imagine the falling of the Berlin wall times a thousandfold. It was religously magical.

Though being a little boy... the thing I remember most was the weird triangular shaped window. LOL

btw- on a sad foonote personally. While I rarely watch the space shuttle...I saw both tragedies live.

For "quoting" portions of a post, you can use [ quote ] at the beginning of the item to be quoted and then, [ /quote ] at the end. (No spaces inside the brackets, though. I only did that here to illustrate the commands.)

Thankee!! :)

Once you have "quoted" what you want, you can get rid of the rest by just using the delete key. Just have your cursor where you want to begin deleting and "let 'er rip"!!
