HI Tom!
Thanks for the link, I Got that link as well as many others on the Vectrex System. I am glad that you are interested in the Vectrex! If you want the Colonial Fleets of Vectrex Webpages, Check out this link:
Spikes Big Vectrex Page (http://www.classicgaming.com/vectrex/)
This guy never runs out of stuff on a system that has been dead since 1984! It seems every other week he is updating with new info. This is the best of all of the vectrex sites.
Battlestar Galactica is the biggest reason why i got into the Vectrex. When playing the vectrex, it reminds me of those Tektronix 4051 Vectorgraphic computers they used on BSG. Also When I saw the vectrex in the childworld toy store for the first time in the winter of 82, I played the built in asteroids clone called Mine Storm. When I saw the spacecraft laying mines in the mine field, The spacecraft (that is my Avatar) reminded me of a cylon raider. After that I was Hooked. I did some research on the the vectrex and the Tectronix 4051 and found they have some things in common and the big one is that they use motorola microprocessors and the cabnet design of the vectrex looks like it belongs on the Galactica like the Tektronix 4051. If any one else reading this and does not know what the Tektronics 4051 is, here is my Thread I did a while back.: I Found The Computer That Was Used In Battlestar Galactica! (http://www.colonialfleets.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5894)
Thank you Tom and Don for not only bringing back Colonial Fleets but bringing back my old thread.

It was our pleasure. :)
I actually am more of a fan of old video games as a whole. But I like stuff ike that. I also plan to make those vector graphic art you saw on the original show for ship scans and stuff. But just as background art for CF's web pages.
I also would like to add a nixie like set of numbers... but have no idea where to put it. :D

I remembered you said in my past thread that you liked Battlezone, Is that Your all time favorite Vector Game?
Can you tell us when you would be able to put up that Vectror graphic backround art ?
I saw an alarm clock made out of nixitubes!

I liked battlezone alot. But if it counts, I have to say I liked asteroids best. ...Oh wait... there was this game called Rip Off that used vectorgraphics. That was my favorite. I use to be really good. I could play as long as my muscles could hold out. But I would build so much acid in my arms, my muscles would shut down and I couldn't press the buttons. Man that was insane.
:D
I also remember impressing my first girlfriend with my skill at a game called Tail Gunner too. :)

YUP!
Those little pirates got insanely fast after awhile. :)
I swear first my fingers started to go dead. Then I wuld use my whole hand to work the buttons. Then when my hands went dead I would use my forearms bangning the controls. Then when my forarms turned into dead tree limbs I would use my upper arm muscles to force my whole arm to flail around... but by then it was hopeless.
My god I was so adicted to that game :)

I know what you mean even though I never played the arcade version. The thing I like most about the game is when you have a friend to be the second ship. There are only two vectrex games Ripoff and starhawk, were two players work together to fight the enemy instead of fighting each other as in space war. In ripoff you can watch each others back and get up to much higher levels than playing alone, then the pirate ships move so fast that even two players have a hard time. you right this is a very additive game.
I saw this arcade in the bowling alley where lived, but I did not have any money left to play it. I Regret it to this day because when I when back there two years later they had replaced the arcade with a lame raster game. This got me thinking, they must have a ripoff arcade out there to rent or better, grab one off of ebay either way I want to play the arcade version before I die.
