OMG that was the worst episode of the series and it was a 2hr movie of all things. The Eastern Alliance looked great on paper as villains but Muffit the daggit could beat them paws down. :D

I would have to give them a 'qualified' :thumbdown .
I say 'qualified' because, in any story with a premise as dark as BSG, you have to allow for a little whimsy, a little fun, a ray of sunlight through the dark storm clouds. Otherwise, you would run the risk of being consumed by the sorrow, if it was dwelt on constantly, 24x7. I don't think 'H & V' were the ticket but, humor, properly placed in the story is definitely needed to make the story more true to life.

In this case I would strongly suggest reading the novel tie-in. The character of Queenie was scrapped altogether

The worst BSG characters of all time, not including that G80 stuff.

I am savagely disappointed in all the hate against H & V.
I will hope you all come to your senses and recognize the genius of G. Larson in this script.

My least-favorite episode too. I can't remember which is which, but I will say that I always appreciated Ray Bolger as an actor. The Scarecrow has always been my favorite Wizard of Oz character. Because of the Scarecrow, I give Bolger the benefit of the doubt.

They were comic relief!
Where I worked we used to use the line from the Scarecrow's song when we missplaced or forgot where we would lay a tool! My assistant department manager was great for rearranging the tools I would have on my table just to confuse me. It got so bad that I began thinking that someone had taken the tools I had on my table. When I'd ask him about it he'd come over and pick up the tool I was looking for and start laughing and sing "If I only had a brain". Well, I got him back after that!

Several Galactica episodes were mediocre, but this entire episode was an unwatchable piece of trash, even worse than many of the Galactica 1980 episodes. The pain... the pain...

As comic relief goes, pretty weak stuff, even for a 12 year old. Maybe I was just too mature back then. Yeah that's it!

Sorry, H&V fans, but I number among those who consider them the low point of the entire BG series. Although I liked much of the first hour of "Greetings," the second hour is my least favorite of them all. Plus, I like "my" BG sans musical routines.

I look forward to Hector and Vectors' cameo role in the new series as crash test dummies or as the imperious leaders!

I like the idea of treating them like Kenny in Southpark.
Maybe having them die a different death each episode in the credits.

The episode was somewhat lame. But weren't they the Tin-Man and the Scarecrow both from the Wizard of Oz?

No. Ray Bolger was Scarecrow. Bobby Darrin was a song and dance guy, too, but of the next generation.
Badly used in this episode, I think.
