Yahooo!!!!!!!
At least one of the awards shows recognized the Kiwis' achievements.
Hats off to Mr. Jackson and the cast and crew of the entire trilogy. Well done!
Jewels, who hopes this bodes well for the Oscars, because sometimes the things that are done amazingly well and happen to be popular deserve to be acknowledged.

FABULOUS!!!!
Thanks for the update, Jewels!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Oscars!! (my wife is too!!)
I only wish that there was a "fourth story". (I know.....you can only have 3 stories in a trilogy.) :D
Oh well, hopefully, Mr. Jackson will do The Hobbit.

You know what, those of us on the west coast are always short-changed because the east coast gets the live feed and we get it 3 hours later - you guys in the eastern time zones know what happens long before we do, and we're in the same time zone as the *!#$ award ceremony!!
It's not fair....
That category hasn't shown up yet out here.

Yes, I am hoping for an oscar win!
Not only will that be great for Jackson and Weta, but it would be nice for the sales of the ROTK Special Edition DVD (I have worked on the Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers Special Edition DVD's editing documentaries, and am scheduled to work on the ROTK disc as well), which will do nothing but good things for my REEL!
The first 2 DVD's have already won the awards for the BEST DVD'S OF THE YEAR.

Jackson wants to do the Hobbit, BUT there are a lot of "complex rights issues that need to be resolved". Only Gandalf, Gollum, and Arwen would return.
