I was watching Independence Day and there was Mary McDonnell, playing just about the same role she played in the mini

Does she remind anyone else of Hillary Rodham?

I don't consider either of them ugly, but ye gods, I dislike Mary McDonnell as an SF actress.

She seems to have this permanent expression/demeanour on her face that looks more suited to some yawnfest like The English Patient. or some gloomy, meaningless French or Czech indie movie Yech. Wait a minute - gloomy...meaningless...I guess she was appropriately cast for G2003 after all! :p

Moore couldnt get Bill Pullman to play the Pres, or Bill Clinton for that matter

like the Clinton family.

Like I said, too much like HRC.

An old joke about Chelsey,told by McCain before the last campaign;

Why is Chelsey so ugly? Because Janet Reno is the real father!

My god...to compare Mary to Hillary is a major insult!
She was one of the best things about the miniseries.
Hillary, on the other hand, is one of the worst "things" in New York.
Sorry about that, Hillary!

Yep, an insult to Hilary imo.

She was one of the best things about the miniseries.
Your welcome to that opinion. Frankly it baffles me, but then I'm just as baffled at people who like the mini, people who like Enterprise, people who like Melrose Place, people who like "reality shows", etc., so who am I to judge?

Well, now you're getting into her politics, which is a different matter... :p

If it goes to series we'll probably find them - or Bill, at least - controlling the Cylons. It would explain the cyber-babes...

Al Gore invented the Cylons.

That's one claim I might believe, were it not for their sense of humour...

Oh, it would be FUN to split the thread at this point and just see what kind of responses you got. ROTFL

Let Bill Clinton play the Imperious Leader in an episode. I would love to see him in his natural element surrounded by a harem of Cylon 6es and Boomers. We might even find out that the red spines glow because he thought they would be "cool" to watch.

I bet he would do the part for free and it would get SCIFI their best rating ever.

Have Shannon Dougherty show up at the cylon party and let her tell how she fooled a Battlestar Commander into running into Deep Space by faking a bunch of radio transmissions and having a Basestar or two show up at Ragnar.

Clinton has a big laugh and asks Shannon what she'll do next?

She responds, "I'm not for sure. Why don't we sick those Hector and Vector models on the fleet?"

Clinton says,"You're killing me! Now take off your clothes."

Shannon responds, "By your command."

This is some mean-spirited things to say, but kinda funny, too. Personally, I like TOS, the mini - and - Hillary.

I could see Bil Clinton as Harry Mudd surrounded by his harem of women, i gotta admit.

Prez Bush (43) annouced his plan to send the first woman to Mars.
Goodbye Hillary.

Now, now, hasn't Hillary already gone through enough physical torture being married to Bill? She doesn't really need the rigors of astronaut training. :D

since this the negative forum:

what do the parts of mary mcdonnel in id4 and THIS bsg have in common?

the answer:

death!

the only thing to figure out would be if she'll die on BSG as well.

In ID4 she was the first lady, crashes in a helicopter and dies
Mini, she becomes the Pres. has cancer and she or Moores Bsg will soon die.
