Which Viper Pilot Had The Most "Kills"?

Has anyone looked at all the Original Battlestar:Galactica episodes and made any kind of analysis and determined, based on Cylon ships destroyed onscreen which Colonial Warrior shot down more Cylons?

If I was hazarding a guess I would say Starbuck or Boomer.

Given their presence during most of the big battles during the series.

Apollo could be up there as well.

Starbuck 72 kills

Boomer 67 kills

Apollo 65 Kills

Jolly 8 kills

Geenbean 3 kills

Etc.....


I am only guessing....lol. I will review the DVD's and post a more accurate count.

I would tend to say Boomer because Apollo and Starbuck were sometimes absent from some of the really big battles such as in "The Hand of God" because they were on "special" missions.

Boomer was involved in that battle when Apollo and Starbuck were not.

On the other hand, Starbuck and Apollo were involved in a fairly large battle in "Lost Planet of the Gods" when Boomer and the rest of the pilots were ill.

Are we going by ships shot down, or total Cylons killed?

ships x3 + any killed in combat on planets would be total # of cylons killed by a warrior, but we were intially talking about ace flying kills weren't we?

Galactica personel:
Starbuck
Apollo
Boomer.
Greenbean.
Jolly.
Giles- Even though we didn't see much of him in combat he was there until killed in Armageddon.

Both Greenbean and Jolly took part in the Gammoray and Gun on Ice Planet Zero campaign. Starbuck, Apollo, and Boomer were on the ground. Jolly took part in the Hand of God campaign with Boomer. These are the reasons for both men being included in pilot rankings.

Pegasus Personel:

Sheba.
Bojay.
Cain.


The Pegasus personel must have had the highest kill ratio due to the fact they fought for two years at Gammoray. Cain flew missions as demonstrated in LL.

Don't forget to include the Female Warriors from "Lost Planet of the Gods." I think their names were Brie and Diedra. Also there were the Warriors named Shields and Killian from "Gun on Ice Planet Zero." I think it would be fun to come up with an index for the series. Number of Cylons shot on screen, Number of times a Colonial crash lands, Number of viper launches, etc. It would be fun. Ah, useless trivia is the spice of life!

Cree was also a warrior. He is the one whom Starbuck rescues from the Cylons in Gun on Ice Planet Zero. Another forgotten warrior was Ortega whom Starbuck was falsely accused of killing.

Believe it or not the Colonials were able to manufacture new ones on their forge ships. Metal was gathered from anywhere possible even soome of the ships of the fleet which were abandoned. This metal was melted down and new Vipers came off the assembly line. However only skilled pilots wouldn't know the difference from the originals. The newer Vipers had some quirks. Dont know maybe Starbuck or Boomer, DO you count The "Return of Starbuck" I would think Adama wouldnt be at the top of the list, but he did fire at a Cylon in 'LPOTG"

Cain got two. Apollo and Starbuck, would they get credit for a half? And who would get credit for the one the Galactica got in "The Hand of God."?

I'm charting Raider kills and Centurian Kills, among other BG 'Stats.'

From 'Saga...' through LPOTG, Apollo leads Starbuck 6 to 5 in Raider kills, while Starbuck is way out in front in Centurian kills
with 6 to Apollo's and Jolley's 3 each.

Good call, Spike. You guessed correctly. It's very close between Apollo, Starbuck and Boomer, but Apollo has it by 2, with Starbuck and Boomer tied for second. I'll post all the official BG 'Stats' in an original thread.
