:salute: Hello Everyone, my name other than BlueSquad2001 is Michael. I'll tell a bit about myself. I've been a professional artist for a little over 15yarens now. I am almost entirely a fantasy illustrator, in the Female Fantasy genre. What can I say, love painting women, thet "ARE" what makes the world go round! :salute: :girl: I'm about to try to introduce to you here my style of painting realism if I may? And try my hand at finally painting the female Warrior set that I've always been wanting to do.
ell I've introduced myself kinda, and I've read alot of your posts and remarks, and this seems like a fantastic forum for BSG fans. Thanks to the Moderators here, they do a bang up job. Hope to be included in your gallery. And by the way, how do I place the pics of my developing painting in this thread?? Can someone help? Thanks for allowing me to introduce myself. :warrior:

All the other forums that I looked at did'nt come close to the type of fans on here. And yes, please look at a few of my works at www.mm3artistry.net I'm about to get into some real hardcore Colonial Female Pilot oil painting series and need and wish so much for all of you to give me some suggetiond to get me started with the right feeling to them! And again thank you Conundrum for your welcoming here!:salute: I'l be hanging around here all night while I work looking for your replies and ideas. And if there is a way that any of us can chat here on this forum, show me how.

Michael, this is a kid-friendly board: we have a few younger teens about....please keep that in mind if you post something.
Nice draughtsmanship in your figures, btw. ;)

Thank you Jewels. I'd really like a reply to my question if possible. You see, i do not mean NUDE..LOL, Colonial Warrior women! I thought maybe since everyone knows and like you that you would be a prime candidate to render in oil to demonstrate my talents. Care to take the challenge?? Thanks for the compliment also.:salute:

*thud*
Sorry, just a little relief there!
Um, I'm flattered but I've never felt photogenic....so I'd rather not. I'm much more for being the photographer or illustrator than being the subject.

PS I think the Lady in my avatar would be a good candidate though: Jane Seymour. ;)

Thanks sooo much Warrior, but I'm about really update that web site and get some new and great stuff going. But I need some assistance. One of the reasons for joining this forum was to get to know fans and here their ideas about how I should "THEME" my Colonial paintings. I reall need some input because I just can't paint gorgeous Colonial Warrior women without some sort of theme for the painting, or a story kinda in the painting. Can you forum members please advise of some ideas??:wtf:

Hey thank you so for the reply, and from the WEB-MASTER..NO DOUBT! And Warrior, i have an idea of the first thing to do, it's a painting that I have loved for years and always wanted to update...NOT STEAL! LOL! :D But when I save my progress pics to a folder in my pictures, how then do I place it on this thread so that all can see?? Can you take a moment to give proper details so that i get it right?? Thanks and look forward to your reply. :salute:

Having either solid white or solid balck as a background color helps. Then you can place images on teh background that meld perfectly. I had problems where I had an off white page and my graphics would match perfectly at home, but then I go soewhere else and see the images mismatch.
btw- where did you study life drawing? I'm always currious where people learn their craft. I'm an old CalArts Life drawing student. Spent many an hour sharpening charcoal pencils to look like syringes with my razor blades and sandpaper. :) :D

Oh I started drawing when I wa two. That is the truth, and for some reason I really attempted to go even further than a 2 yr old and made the facial feature as real as my mingd and eyes could grasp at that time. It was weird for my family to witness this. I never really studied in a school. Just self taught, and now it'smy living, for the past 15yrs. I am amazed with female beauty and cannot get enough of studying them.....closely!:D  I think women should be worshipped for all they provide the male species with:salute: But as far as posting this painting I just started on on this thread...How do I do that??? And thanks for the reply, it's a big help!:salute:

I take it its P-G right?
When you have something ready to show, just email it as a jpeg to the email link at the bottom of the page. I have a website with some extra bandwidth.
Normally we could have a mod post it for you, but we are massively overloaded on bandwidth at fleets this month thanks to the mini. ;)

Hey Conondrum7g :duck Hows it with you? Right now i am working on getting 3 portraits done before tommorrow and I already have around 30 hours in all of them. On the other hand, Rob at Sci-Fi Models has asked me to do a studio scale De Santo viper and it's also in the works. So I'll be a couple of days before I get you that sample. And yes, it is rated:devil: P.G.! LOL!

The BSG image is Frazetta-ish! Reminds me somewhat of the cover to the novelization for Gun on Ice Planet Zero. I've always liked the fantasy illustrators of the "Conan" genre, from Frazetta to Ken Kelly (who has painted two KISS albums and several from ManOWar) and the Vallejo family.
Mayhaps we should forward you to the Maren Jensen page at Nathan's site for future inspiration.

I would'nt mind. I'd like to understand more about what you mean. And yes. The painting is originally created by Frazetta but I've always wanted to re-do it based on the actual uniforms used on the series and make it more realistic. It has actually become an original after so many drastic changes. I thank-you so much for all the compliments and look forward to more about this Athena site you are talking about, and what your idea is. Oh, and the painting is 18x24" . Hope to hear from you again Larocque 6689:salute:
