Another cable miniseries launched strong Monday, with Sci Fi Channel's "Battlestar Galactica" drawing 3.9 million viewers. While second only to Spike TV's "WWE Raw" on basic cable that night, the debut paled in comparison with the first installments of past Sci Fi miniseries, including "Steven Spielberg Presents Taken," which premiered around the same time last year, and "Frank Herbert's Dune."

BG was sold to advertisers with a rating goal of 3.6, they got 3.8 on the second night, up from the first night.
It's pretty unheard of to have a show do better the second night than the first.

I'd rather see it in mini-series format.

If they do a series, you have to wonder what timeslot they'll stick it in and what it will be up against.
