View Full Version : Getting to post on the sci fi board

You know, any time I had ever had trouble posting on the sci fi board, I had trouble clicking on the posts and having them come up too.
The whole board would act up.
However, for some reason now, the rest of the board works fine but I can't post anything.
Think I will go try something. :)

OWD,
We must find a way to say this in our letters in a few days. Especially to Larson. I'm thinking NBC knows what they're doing, it's the sponsors for their hoped-for series they have to delude.

Hi Ojai and OWD :).
Monday night the SciFi board worked fine. In fact, I was surprised how quickly posts got thru. Perhaps they hired additional mods or perhaps they just felt overwhelmed and let all go thru.
But last night around 8:00 PST the board stopped allowing new posts (you get a msg saying that feature is disabled). Only 2 additional posts got thru from 8:00 to 12:00. I don't know why.

I've posted a bunch and it's not gone through. Even posted a question to the mods.
If you have to manipulate your own bbd: it's a very sad thing.

Of course it isn't. The future of the potential syndication relies on network scrutiny of the feedback by the audience, primarily at the scifi bboard. Does anyone at this point honestly think they will let even the slightest hint of honesty taint the feedback?
This methodology is disturbingly similar to that used on a smaller scale by several notorious 'persons' who to this point I have not officially connected with skiffy. I may have to re-think that.

I posted this at the Alliance.

As I posted elsewhere, if you do not see your post within 24 hours - send it to the moderator email and demand an explanation as to which rules were violated which prevented them from putting it on its board. If you are lucky (*IF*) a human being will write back. Mention also your handle.
I suggest that - as part of the campaign to "take back Scifi" - that contacting the moderators over their own censorship becomes a regular part of the process.
I have sent them 3 of my posts today, asking them why they haven't posted them.
I suggest EVERYBODY who has not seen their miniseries review posted do the same.
If the clones are going to clog the board with their posts, the least we can do is clog the moderator's mailbox with questions as to why they don't like our posts. It's a fair thing to do.

I've posted several times poor reviews of the mini screenplay, nothing infamatory, but nothing got through.

I just did a quick scan of the skiffy board, something looked fishy so I did a quick survey. It looks like they are letting posts through in small batches, but writing counter posts first. At best it looks like a 50/50 split on the board, but if you pull the self congratulatory counter posts it looks about 90% against!

That board was real funky this morning. I couldn't open any topics for awhile.
I posted a positve reply over there earlier today and it never got on the board. So its not just negative comments. I think there was simply a technical problem.

Same thing here, I've posted several times and nothing got through. Not even replies to other posts. It is very slow to log on to the bboard and even slower to open and read other posts. No matter what time of day.
I'll keep trying

it could be sheer volume of net traffic slowing them down. ;)

I just got a post thru, altho' it took a while to get the site to respond. Not sure what's up, but one thing is SciFi has always been nice about letting my posts thru.

Well they still haven't put any of my posts through. I'm not jumping to conclusions but this is the first time I have been shut out from posting over there in 5 years.
There were a few times my posts didn't go through and I chalked those up to having to much logic within my words. LMAO
Hey I know, Maybe I will clone a handle and post.
At least I know that will get through. he he he he
Hey, What am I saying? I don't care if they shut me out. :0
This post almost sounds like I care. LMAO

Well it's the weekend and the posts have died down over there. I'm sure they will pick up Monday ;)

I had horrible luck over there, so I gave up and searched for other sites. That's how I found this one. This one isn't broken, and it isn't filled with 5 year olds either.

However,I have seen several critical posts.
Critical of the mini.
Critical of the BBs policy as well.
The layout just blows, threads ungrouped. Not easy to navigate.
While I do not oppose the new series,I do share common cause in reforming their network in other ways.
Tremor I could deal with,as I thought Gummer's character was humorous.
Knight Rider reruns?Crossing Over?Scare Tactics?
Does the general readership here agree that these shows should get the axe?
They could just use the time to rerun shows we generally approve of and save a ton of dollars.
