You can bandy the person's work around, but realize they are human beings and Boomer: that topic title is worthy of a middle school bully. Olmos is a stand up guy, which is rare in Hollywood and at least he was frank about the mini vs. the TOS. He told us not to watch.

Well, that's not entirely accurate, dec5. The mods here are actually pretty even handed about how much "bashing" goes on. You'll find comments made against just about every player in this game - Hatch, Larson, DeSanto, Moore, Sackoff, Olmos, etc., just like you'll find comments supporting them. (Well, maybe not Sackoff, but then I don't know of anybody supporting her right now.) ;)

I've found that as long as you're not just talking to make trouble, if you really want a conversation on the subject, they'll pretty much let you alone.

Blatant flaming, though, is frowned upon, and rightly so. Against anybody. This is not the forum you want to be on if you want to make personal attacks against anybody.

Seriously though, I think Mr. Olmos is a stand up kind of guy. For him to come forward and tell people publically not to watch the mini, that it doesn't keep the themes of the original intact, right in front of Hammer, took alot of guts in my opinion.

I agree with Jewels,this topic has the meaning, and grammar of a child. We are trying to stick together and find a positive way of getting a continuation. Threads and like thinking of this nature will only make people not want to listen to us.

If Boomer isn't a trouble-making troll then I think he should issue an apology for the comments made against Olmos. They were inappropriate.

At Cylon.org, one of the posters said that the best way to deal with people who are looking for a fight was to identify them and ignore them.

Boomer - if I have mischaracterized you, I apologize. While you deserve the benefit of the doubt, your comments were indefensible and begged questions both about you and your motives. I think an explanation is in order. Lacking an explanation, in the interim, I will ignore you.

I think I got confused because he was active in protesting that Navy proving ground in that island in the Caribbean. Must have been there just on principle and not due to having extended family in the region; thanks for clarifying. :)
