I am new to this board so, if this has already been discussed, forgive me.

Has anyone thought of investigating the possibility that this new mini series might be an infringement on the original copyrights and trademarks of the original Battlestar Galactica? Afterall, they are ripping off just the title, names, and the Viper....the story could be any other sci-fi storyline. They are using the popularity of our beloved Battlestar Galactica to make they're cheap imitation more profitable.
And, since we are on the subject of lawsuits, could we start a class-action lawsuit, for all of the loyal fans, against Ron Moore, Daveid Eick, and the Sci Fi Channel on the grounds of trying to defraud the public???? Please let me know what any of you think.....I don't know about any one else, but BSG was a landmark moment of my childhood and it REALLY pisses me off how these conmen are trying to destroy it. Take care all....

The corporation that owns the TOS TV rights is making the mini so unfortunately the answer is no.

However, Glen Larson, won and bought clear the theatrical movie rights. He's waiting to see if the interest in the original series remains after the mini shows.

We're here to make sure they know we want more real BG. Welcome to the fleets.
