I see some ppl saying that the old fans shouldn't be so mad we should be glad that there doing something with BSG etc etc. However this isn't BSG. Its somehting else. I think if they made the mini series as it is changed all the names and the ship desighns so it looked nohting like BSG, and named it something else then I would watch it and maybe even like it. Yet they just have to try to play off the whole remake idea and steel the name just to get ppls attention. In the process dragging the show through the mudd. Why can't they just truely have the balls to be original and make a stand alone work with a new name etc etc?

I mean SERIOUSLY what would have happened if Gandalph in the LOTR movies was made into a girl? Shit 500k ppl would have bumm rushed the studio and burned the film negatives. I know cause I would have been one of them.

I just don't understnad the logic of what there trying to accomplish by taking THOUSANDS of loyal fans and REALY REALY pissing them off. Can someone enlighten me as to how this is a good thing for ANYONE? them or us?

Its all that damm segram's guys fault. Why did he have to sell universal to the stupid french. Sigh...

I've said this many times before. My own take on it is that this miniseries is simply an advertisement to Hollywood for what Ronald D. Moore believes is his talent. He saw an opportunity to use the BSG brand name as a protective sheild for his ideas. This way if it fails, he'll just say that there was never any interest in BSG. If it succeeds, then he'll collect the accolades of his peers. He can't really loose here. This mini isn't about BSG. It's about Ronald D. Moore screaming to studio execs like a 5 year old on a swing set yelling at his parents, "Look what I can do!" Well, he can't do much, can he.
