Lowblow was more like it. Eeeeeewww. Someone please remind me that Katee Sackhoff is just an actress doing a job. Eeeeew.

Ron Moore's lack of knowledge of TOS is just appalling. Ron, if you are lurking: the history of the cylon race is told on Carillon in a conversation in the landram on Carillon between Boxey and Apollo. Galactica 101.

The women's emphasis on they were equal fighter pilots to the guys in this version: HELLO! in the original series SHEBA could outfly Apollo and was a group leader in her own right. A squad of newly trained female viper cadets saved the whole friggin fleet on the 2nd & 3rd Sunday night! Grrrrrr.

I don't remember what David Eick and Michael Rhymer's 1st comment was--I only remember it was something that irked me and showed their stupidity.

I loved Dirk lighting up his cigar inside Starbucks in response to one of Katee's questions. Served her right. ;) And ended the interview.

I'm pretty sure Richard got cut off a couple of times: 3 times at least, I was thinking there's usually more to this statement when I've seen him write or heard him talk.

Did anyone think Tricia Helfer came off much more intelligent than Katee?

At least they kept emphasizing that this show was different from TOS.

The best clips combo I think: Richard talking about it being a family show, the clip of Apollo & Adama where Apollo talks about looking up to his Dad as both his Dad and his commander, and imediately after that Jamie Bamber describing the estranged relationship between Lee and Adama.

They knew the effects were better than the storyline too.

I don't think I've heard anyone call a hot chick a fox since about '84! :D

tricia needs to keep her hair natural, that's for sure. and use her regular stylist, not whoever did hair for the show.

Well I gave it a chance and watched to see all of the controversy over Richard's statement and there was NONE. I found it interesting that if one watches the mini they give you the game codes. I'll play the game and unlock the codes myself as I improve. If the mini is like the Lowdown it will fail. There is nothing passionate about Moore's work. The new cylons look like the ones Richard came up with. I think they robbed the man. Moore stated this and that and looked like he was selling used cars. they said they couldn't use a man in a suit as a the Cylons were portrayed in the original. However Richard's Cylons were CGI and looked great. DeSanto's as well were menacing. Here is where it becomes interesting. No glimpses of Cain(Lloyd Bridges). This means that they don't own the rights to Cain which Glen ownes.

At least there was one shot from Galacticon. My Galactica model with me in the background!

except for the new "Galactica" which should have been named something else. Kudos to Lee Stringer and company. We all know good effects do not a good movie make.

I forgot it was on last night, cooking for Thanksgiving and watching my X-2 DVD and all. I assume it will be repeated? I might have to force myself to watch it to see Dirk and Richard! :choco:

I noticed that Bonnie Hammer wasn't even on the show. I wonder where she was since it was her idea to overhaul Galactica in the first place.

News Flash from EDF Command

Battlestar Galactica

Big-budget sci-fi flop that was more than a bit reminiscent of `Star Wars' and Babalon 5. `Galactica' follows the fragile fortunes of a caravan of spaceships fleeing to Earth from a galaxy dominated by mechanical beings bent on destroying the human race. A series was planned on the SciFi Channel but was canned after the airing of the Pilot (Galactica 2003).
