That's got to be a mis-type or sarcasm. Or we'll have to send some of those paintball players after you, Jon. Put you out of your misery.

"Nearly as cool as..." *sputters, coughs, chokes, gags....mutters "it has to be sarcasm, Jon wouldn't sell out for a Trojan horse masquerading as a battlestar...."*

Goldcenturion, Jim told me he built it in 6 or so months, but the research and collecting of rare and expensive model kits for the detailing takes much longer! Trust me, I'm five years and several grand into building mine! :)

Jim was a major inspiration and friend in helping to get my project off the drawing board. I'm currently collaborating with 5 other friends in constructing their own- yep, it's gonna be on e big happy fleet!

Peter, how recent are these shots? The studio scale Raider kit was released a long time after Jim finished his model. He must have dusted the old girl off for another showing?

Just wait for the more heavily detailed Aussie battlestar :D

Mike, this is the story:

Sandy (TwoBrainedCylon) had gone to Virginnia, he got back at the weekend (the one just gone) to Orlando and met CA mod Alternity Orange for a drink. They spotted there was a model show on and decided to nip in for a looksee. Imagine their surprise when they saw what was on display!

Anyway Sandy, takes LOADS of pics and interviews the guys right there and then.

Talk about luck!

Peter

P.S. What are you doing posting here, work on that model damn it! ;)

Imagine or "re-imagine" if you will, someone doing a TV show a new Battlestar Galactica using these models THIS FLEET or some guy from Jersey named DeSanto making a movie...I'd pay to see that.

Thanks Peter. I'm happy to see that Jim dusts off the old girl for a show every now and then, unless he has sold it to someone else? Did you ever see his Colonial Movers and Cylon tanker models? Veeeeery cool.

Warrior, mate, I'd PAY to let them use our models in a real FX shot! Somehow I don't think mine is totally up to the quality of the original (one of the hardest ships to replicate- EVER!), but she comes close in some areas.

Gotta get back to work. Only 3 or 4 thousand more parts to glue on :D

Mike
