On the shuttle when Apollo and Serina are going down to the surface of Carillon, Serina says in response to Apollo's fashion critique "They probably haven't worn those in YEARS"...
What happened to yahrens? :)

I don't have the reference off hand, but I'm pretty sure in one of the episodes Apollo said "wait just a minute". I think it's in response to something Adama said in Magnificent Warriors in his office. Whoops. And they may have used years in another spot in the pilot episode as well.
Wait a minute, here's the reference:

Subject: Language discrepancies
Hi all,
In the first episode, when Adama is trying to convince the Council
President that the fleet should launch intercept fighters, the
President says: "My friend, we are on a peace mission. The first
peace man has known in a thousand years." He says "years" rather
than "yahrens." Anyone notice any other instances of a character using
the regular English word rather than the correct "BSG-speak"? My
apologies if this is a recently traveled road.

Yes, those are bloopers when they say those things and not use the BSG words.
Here's another: Cassie tells Starbuck about the Otori sect of Gemons who do not believe in physical contact but only during the worship of the Sun Storm. She says it only "comes once every seven years."

"dialects" of colonial standard speech or something. I like finding "bloopers" and coming up with explainations. I found the word "Kennedy" on some pipes while Apollo was looking for solium leaks...how can that be explained? It could possibly explain the real motivation for the Cylon hatred of humans :) but how did the Kennedys start up a pipe manufacturing company in the colonies?

In the opening for Galactica 80, Lorne Greene says ( The great ship Galactica, our home now for these many years) or something like that but he says years and that was in the opening monolog.
Apollo says to his Family that he and Sarena would like very much to be married. What happened to being sealed.
The great thing about Galactica was the fact that I was to busy being taken off to that far off place by the story, music and characters that I can honestly say that I was to busy being entertained too even notice but after seeing the episodes over 100 times each or close to it, you start to notice these things.
Funny thing is , all shows have them, sometimes you just have to dig a little deeper. :)
