When I first signed up here, I thought that this was just a cool forum ran by no name fans.

Boy did YOU prove me WRONG! Most of you KNOW people connected to BSG. I have just one question, how can I involve myself in BSG? What do I need to do? I would love to work with you guys on this, Just let me know how I can contribute!

Welcome, Trevor.

Best ways to contribute in general are just share your love for the show, let folks get to know you, watch for people looking for help and you never know what might happen.

Thanks to the folks around here, I had a very interesting year...to say the least. ;)

Well Trevor to be honest with you were kind of gearing up to push the original series and show our support for a joint Larson/DeSanto project. Now as far as writing letters and such it's basically a moot point. Larson owns the thearetical rights to do a Galactica movie and the best way to help them is to spread the word about the one and true Galactica. Promote to other sites you may visit about the many sites dedicated to the original series and premis. Let people know that were here. Were still unknown to alot of people that are just now discovering there is even a fan base for the old series.

Let them know to come and see us.

Well where I work i discovered through random conversation a lot, i mean a LOT of dormant fans who remember and loved the show. they were completly HORIFIED when I told them what the new mini has done to the series! No horrified isn't the word, nuclear powered PISSED OFF is more like it. One guy just stared at me with his mouth hung open just at the news that Starbuck pees sitting down now. Then I explained that Richard has ben fighting tooth and claw to get a project loyal to the original off it's feet. I also let them know about the DeSanto project. I told them that Universal has the TV rights, but we have the BIG SCREEN! That Glen Larson and DeSanto will more than likely work on this project together!

We now have a small army of Galactica fans at my job!

They know of Colonial Fleets and other sites and will hopefully be posting soon!

From the bottom of my heart: May the TRUE Galactica Rule Forever!

Hi Trevor,

The best way to be involved is exactly what Jewels and Titon recommend. I like to think it's not about being connected to various powers that be, whether past, present or future... but keeping the spirit of the original series alive and well.

And if people like the new series, well, good for them. They can savor it, just as many of us love the original. (And if people love both shows, good for them, too.)

I'd add, too: Let people know about Richard Hatch's Battlestar Galactica books; about the various Battlestar fan web sites, including GalacticonEvents.com (to know that the show itself was recently celebrated by fans); and about the discussion bboards like Colonial Fleets, BattlestarGalacticaClub.com and Cylon.org. If they enjoyed the show, then and/or now, they're in for a treat with the myriad discussions, activities and ongoing developments.

Well I guess I should have stated the question differently, Okay here goes.....

How do I get my self involved with the Battlestar Galactica project? I would like to know how I could be involved from suggesting a few storylines to the writers, to actually having a small role on the show. I have a few interesting ideas and will begin with a fan fic that I REALLY think you guys should use because it brings up a very important question, more on that later. I was wanting to know where to send it to where Richard, Glen , or Tom would be sure to see it.
Also I would like to see if I could at least get a shot like an audition for a part in what ever you guys decide to do, hell I'd file paperwork or fetch coffee just to be in the know!

That was what I was trying to get across with this thread.

But I have been spreading the word, and actually recruiting new fans, so here's hoping!

Hi Trevor,

You're barking up the wrong tree in this case. Sorry.
