I was day-dreaming the other day about how great it would be to have a CGI TV series based on Battlestar Galactica. The original surviving actors could play their parts again and Adama, Baltar, Kane and Lucifer could be recast. Who do you think would be suitable for the voices? I think Robert Conrad or Beau Bridges would do well as Kane. I also think William Shatner could do Baltar. I think he has much of the same verbal energy as Mr. Colicos. Another question: should they be recast? Should it take place in "season 2" picking up where they left off in 1979 or should they account for the 25 yarens? I can just picture the effects! What do you think?

Sort of like a Star Ship Troopers cartoon?

I think it would make sense to pick up 25 years later, so they can wipe out forever Galactica 1980. Besides, that would allow them to get a few new characters and such.

Yes! The Starship Troopers cartoon show is what I had in mind. I could see the advantage of setting the show 25 years later. Personally, I think the benefit of doing it CGI is that you could pick up where the original series left off. Even though the show was in "Year 2" new characters could still be introguced. It's a big fleet. I also thought yesterday that Micheal York could do the voice of Baltar. I think he would do well in the role.

I think it could work with BG.
