Moore showed new scenes at the con

I have to admit, Edward james Olmos is good. His scenes are very nice. he is a good actor.

They showed that scene where his old viper is revealed. That one where the red drape is pulled off, that's HIS old viper that the crew ressurected as a gift. Along with that they present an old archive photo the crew found and framed that shows him and his two sons. (Zac is now dead)

It was a nice scene.

Also the special effects are pretty good. The combat scene I saw is well choreographed, though currently very incomplete. The style of action is good. Though its not more exciting than the old show, just more intricate.

Then they showed the poker game where Starbuck decks Tigh. They are playing poker and they are both being assholes. I didn't like either one. Even if I never heard of Galactica I wouldn't have liked either one.

Tigh starts going Starbuk-buk-bukbukbuk like a chicken. Then Starbuck throws in the wife comment. And then they fight. it seems pointless.

They also showed Baltar and the Cylon girl riping each other clothes off. For a brief second I saw her butt. I don't know if that will stay in the print. Looked like a cheap porn...don't know wtf its doing here. or how its suppose to add to the plot.

if I never saw BG 25 years ago my opinion would be the same.

oh... there was a decent little bit of action where Starbuck can't launch cause something is wrong with her viper. She gets pissy and the crew you see rushing toward her in the commercials somehow get her launched. A decent scene.

But then you see the external shot of the Galactica and well... its kinda ugly. And it has external ribs. Like Giger's ALIEN. Yuch.

It's to bad but a few good scenes won't change the over all effect of what Moore is doing to the show.

It's still as sad as the day we found out. :(
