He had planned to do an Imax production .
Now he gets one and the fans get TOS in a back handed kind of way

in a way. But if there is enough people go to the con then that will bring back a good revival. But people need to go!!!

I believe that the con is one aspect of it. Many who are going to write letters aren't going to the con. What about DVD sales? IMHO they are off the chart. I purchased two sets. :D I guess I really do love Galactica.

I hope and pray that there is a good turn out at the con!
If I didn't have to work I would let nothing keep me from going, I even live on the other coast!
I also think Kingfish has a good point. The DVD sales and letters should have some input on a continuation.
****Keeping fingers crossed and toes too****

if galacticon does well, i would like to see it go to atlanta, ga. i know there would be some stars that could not make it, but it would make it closer for those that wanted to go but could not make it to cali.

Georgia's still rather far for me, but that's a drive I can make (from Pittsburgh).
Sadly schedule and money wise not able to get to California as I was hoping this weekend.
Hope it is a big success.

David- I forgot who I was talking to, but they were talking about some really cool art and stuff by a guy called David Kerin. And they also talked about Steve's work.
You guys were definitely well thought of. :D
Just thought you might like to hear that. ;)

Jedi-
I think he means we get one but it was at the last minute. This idea was really a last minute thing. it wasn't planned at all. But Richard Hatch thought it up and arranged it just two days ago.

Well if my name was mentioned in some positive form then that's more than I could have wished for... besides being there of course.
I too was hoping to finally meet many of the people who I've come to know in the BSG community.
It seems like fate has played a hand in keeping me from the Con.
First we just bought a new house so that adds a good bit of work and financial priorities.
Secondly, the graphic artist where I work has been hospitalized from a bad reaction to a prescription and I'm covering all the work. Going over 2 weeks straight now.
Thirdly, my wife has the flu, or something darn close.
I do think of what's going on out there and I'm sad I'm missing it. Half tempted to see how cheap a ticket I can find and fly out for one day. That would be rather insane though.
Also, I'm hoping Richard is going to premiere Magellan... at least that's the plan. If he does I'd love to hear a report of how it goes.
All my best, and hopefully there will be some great pictures and video for us non-con people to enjoy.

Well, for what it's worth I'm dragging my husband to the convention, so I'm doing my part to increase the membership. :warrior:

From what I've seen of it, the appear to be aiming for a rather small turnout. The rooms are fairly small. its much smaller than Comicon. So the rooms are failry well filled. During Larson and Moore's speeches the room was filled. Though an overflow area was not used. I assume there was only a couple hundred people.
So its not a huge convention. But at the same time its nice cause the cast members are there sitting with the audience. its not like most convetnions where there is a long line to meet people. Basically if you got the guts you can go up and start talking with your favorite actor. :D
Viper4- The new Richard Hatch War of Magellan trailer and teh Second Coming trailer starts at 10AM Saturday. And Tom DeSanto's trailer is in the afternoon so catch that too!

I would go to Galacticon in Atlanta if it occured; Cali was just way out of my picture.
