They must have stopped using it to send spam advertisement. I didn't turn it off and haven't received any since last night.????????

I tried to disable it but it turned itself back on. I do receive the periodic Windows updates and am wondering if they fixed the problem.

the widow updates are probably whats reseting it. :)

You have to go two places to turn OFF messenger, though, otherwise it will boot up each time you turn your computer back on.
I don't remember where they are though (I'm not at home). If I can get to my home computer in the next couple of hours (no guarantees) I'll see if I can find them again.
