I was just thinking....To be the second most popular program on scifi isn't a hard thing to do.

Its not as if its that hard to beat out scare tactics or tremors. And it most definitely can beat that John Edwards guy.

So I am sadly expecting this to be proclaimed as "the Second most watched show on scifi!!!!". :(

on the other hand... who gives a damn. Let the mini get all the ratings it can. I have faith in the old series. And NBC didn't last this long by being COMPLETELY stupid. I think they will listen to the voices of fans. provided we don't get labeled as "fanatics." LOL :D

The actual takeover will not happen until 2nd quarter 2004, probably either early April or the end of June. They will shoot for the begging of a quarter, for financial accounting reasons.

But I expect Bonnie and company to be gone sometime soon after that, then a revamping of SicFi. By then the mini will be history, a sad bit of history but still just one more cheap scifi knockoff.

If Glen and Tom pull together with the fans, NBC will take note and perhaps we could see a major motion picture by 2005?

I believe it can be done!

hmmm.... didn't realize that ir would take so long for NBC to acquire scifi. But that makes sense. :D

I am VERY glad things will change. At least we all have hope now. :D

Looks like Bonnie Hammer is trying her hand at lawsuits against Government agencies...

http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/space/10/21/ufo.records.reut/index.html

This is an article about the U.F.O. documentaries that Skiffy is producing: "The New Roswell: Kecksburg Exposed."
It's also note worthy that they mention BSG at the beginning. I wonder who's idea that was?

Here's a nice Bonnie quote:

Hammer sees the integration with a network news operation as a potential boon for Sci-Fi's newsgathering efforts. "If it's something that seems credible, absolutely," said Hammer on the potential of working with NBC journalists. "But we're not going to do it just to create buzz."

YEAH, RIGHT.

The truth is out there, and the Sci-Fi Channel is determined to find it, even if that means suing NASA, the Department of Defense, the U.S. Army and Air Force for FREE ADVERTISING, THE SCIFI CHANNEL NAME ON SERIOUS NEWS OUTFIT LIKE CNN. THIS IS FREE ADVERTISING ON A REAL NEWS OUTLET, UNLIKE SAY “THE NATIONAL INQUIRER”

Next up a 'real' alien autopsy or 'Elvis Sightings'', stay tuned.
