Thanks Tom!

As many of you know, before he was a film director, Joe Johnston, was a concept design artist/storyboard guy. He had a hand in some of the designs in Star Wars with Ralph McQuarrie and did the storyboards for the film too.

When Dykstra got the BSG gig, Johnston was hired as well, and he developed some designs from RMQ's paintings and drawings.

This is Joe's Big G which is starting to move more in the direction of the model and is less streamlined than the paintings.

Joe also did some designs for the Cylons which went in the direction of heavy chainmail (no one has ever seen these).

Regards,

Peter

Maybe someone will come up with another class of Colonial ship based on this design?

Maybe the very first battlestars could've looked liked this.

Those are interesting ships. Does anyone know if a roleplaying game was ever made for BSG?
