Coming soon Continuation for the fans

Well for a while now, many of you know that I have been poking my head in her and asking some questions and it was all for a good reason.

For the last few months I took on the task of going through all the Episodes of Battlestar that I have recorded to audio. I even went through the Galactica 80 episodes also and I have been making samples of almost every thing they say. Now I have a huge sample of Galactica MP3s that run well into the thousands
I didn't want to say anything until I had something to show and now I do.

I've been working with Darrell ( Warrior ) on an audio version of Battlestar Galactica that will be a continuation 25 yarhens later that is based on what most of the fans have asked for. A sample will be available soon on BSG.COM and the whole thing should be ready by the time Galacticon rolls around.

The sample is a dream sequence that Apollo has while a sleep in his viper on a mission with Starbuck. All I will say is, to the fans, Galactica 80 was a nightmare, well now it's one to Apollo also. :)

I will open up a thread for discussion in the general discussion forum so feel free to ask any question and take part.

Oh ya and if you want to be in this, you can. We still need a few to do some voice overs in a few parts. Ever want to be on the council of 12 in an episode ? or sitting in Rigel's seat or how about out in a viper patrolling? Well those are just minor roles but it will help to keep the story together. After all, the original actors are taking center stage. :)

And LadyImmortal, I hate my voice too but I play in a rock band for a living and people seem to like it for some reason. lol

Oldwardaggit, it sounds like an AWESOME project you have going on...and I for one would love to be involved. I am getting a computer hopefully within a week...and I shall make sure it gets audio voice capability.

BTW, you're in a rock band too..?! COOL! So am I. I presume you are the lead vocalist? I am too. We must chat sometime.

martok2112, yup I'm the lead singer/ lead guitar player in a band called Short Notice. We are in the producing stage of our second album and we have a web site at ShortNoticerocks.com
When you get your computer, get ICQ and leave your number in a privet message here if you like. It's the easiest way to work on audio as a group. Plus when you get your computer, try to get your hands on a program called cool edit. It's what I'm using to edit all of this together and it's like having a studio on your computer with 128 tracks. For audio the possibilities are almost endless with cool Edit and it's not that hard to use.


For all that want to take part, you will get to hear parts of the project before it's finished just as Darrell does. Darrell's Idea's have made this project really take off.

I already have a scene between Commander Apollo and a full grown Boxey ( Troy ) 2 scenes actually. They are not finished yet but sound pretty good.

Just finnished a 2 1/2 minute scene where Commander Apollo gives Troy and Dillon some last minute instructions before they take off on a rescue mission.

Troy and Dillon might have been in Galactica 80 but they are serving this project quite well. :):):):)

First, Starbuck is heard over the com, cuz we're with Apollo.

At the end, however, we're with Starbuck and hear Apollo over the com.

This is a scene switch like in the show. Hence the difference in audio.



Kudos. Galactica 1980 a bad dream. Seeing the plans they had for Starbuck it is a true nightmare.

It's because Warrior is the one who came up with the Idea to use Troy and Dillon in this continuation.

It's kind of neat hearing Troy (Boxey) grown up, Talking to Apollo as his father and everyone calling Apollo Commander.

And like I said, if anyone has any questions, ask away. Darrell (warrior) or I can answer them. I think. lol

Just finnished the Adama on his death bead and funeral scene.

I tried to make it as heart felt as I could. Plus I found another little piece of audio on the net that no Galactica fan would forgive me for if I didn't use it. :)

Just finished another scene. The last we see of Starbuck and Apollo together is in the celestial chamber before they go to the victory celebration in the episode hand of God.

This is a flash back of that scene but we get to hear Apollo and Starbuck get their medals from Adama in front of a huge crowd.

Just finished yet another scene. After the celebration, we are up on the bridge where most of the crew are. We find out that some one stole a viper and it's someone that was a pain in the a$$ from another episode.

Apollo, Boomer and Starbuck are sent to bring this person back. It might be a long voyage so they decide to go into sleep mode and that's when the dream sequence happens.

Thanks amberstar, I wish I could take all the credit but Darrell ( Warrior ) Is proving to be a huge assit to this project.

About 20 minutes of the project is done. That's the opening scene which is a flash back to the last scene in the hand of God and what took place after.

Lets just say Apollo is reflecting. :)

radama Yup it's down again. I'm having problems with my fire wall but RG should be up tomorrow. In the future, we might just get to see video along with this audio.

That's not up to me because Video isn't my thing but the audio should be done by the Galacticon. If not, then I will make it into part one and part two, with part one being played on Radio Galactica. :)

Hey cool General Phoenix. The project has taken many twists and turns as far as what direction Darrell and I chose to take but I'm pretty sure we will need some voice actors in this production.

The good news is, The first half is finished. There is now 32 minutes of an audio Galactica continuation which is now known as part 1 of Battlestar Galactica The return of a hero. All the music so far except 2 pieces , are from the original soundtrack.

The Narration you heard Darrell do is one of 3 that he did in part 1 and here is the surprise. It will be on Radio Galactica this sunday. I'm not sure of the time but I will be back with a time for all the different time zones and when it will be played .

Oh boy it's going to be one hell of a weekend :)

Yup, the audio continuation is going to Galacticon. Darrell you beat me too it. lol I will be playing it on Radio Galactica but that will be in an AM radio kind of format. Those that are going to Galacticon will be able to hear it in the same quality as the download sample that Darrell offered here.

Thanks every one. I just got back from the doctor's and it's either torn muscles in my back and under my ribs on the right side or it's shingles. I have to get blood work tomorrow just to make sure it isn't my liver.
