I took a break today and went over to an old stomping ground, Spacebattles.com. In reading some of the threads i came across this little gem. Spacebattles.com is a huge community based on the scifi genre. Well i stumbled across this thread. Take a look at what other scifi fans are saying about the new mini.

Enjoy.

Actually BST, my friend David Hitchcock did the drawing, I should know I asked him to draw it for me one day at work.

I think Dirk Benedict's got it now.

Peter

That is totally cool that Dirk ended up with the Hitchcock drawing. That thing is just PRICELESS!

And we are not alone in our dislike....heh.

OOPS!!

Thanks for clarifying that, Peter. I just looked at the "poster" and the "post" and put 1 and 1 together (guess I didn't get 2 on that one now, did I? :D :D )

So, it's not just us old, narrow-minded TOS groupie loonies who think this thing is going to suck ass.

Fascinating.

Ron Moore's denial comes to an end on December 7th.

I wanted to strangle the last poster - you know, the guy who thinks he's just so wonderful and that bashing the thing before it shows is lame.

To him I say 'ha!'.

Anyway, I talked to my best friend Monette Sunday Night and low and behold she brings up the Abomination - and agrees with the rest of us. That it's going to suck rocks and that it shouldn't bear the name Battlestar Galactica. (I love the guy who posted they should call it 'Star Trek Rip-Off #28') LOL!

So, there are more fans out there that may not be active in the fandom who know the truth behind the Abomination!

Heck, my non-scifi fan sister thinks "the mini series" is a slap in the face to TOS. She's calls the new Starbuck, "Stardoe!" :choco:

I heard the same statement on Ex Isle a while back. It's funny.

The cartoon was wonderful! I especially liked RDM clutching a copy of "Script Writing for Beginners". :D It's nice to see that our views on the mini are held by sci-fi enthusiasts outside of BSG fandom. I really think Hammer and company are in for an unpleasant surprise come December 7th.

Shouldn't that be "Remedial script writing...?" After all, RDM hasn't gotten it right yet!!!!
