I remember the feeling of awe I had when I first watched Galactica. There had been nothing on television like it. Even Star Trek paled in comparison.

Everything was done on such a grand scale. And despite the terrible setback the colonists suffered, they still had the strength and courage to carry on.

Very few television series, science fiction or not, inspired me as much as Galactica did back then. Even though it's been 25 years, I still can recall watching the first episode. I had trouble sleeping that night because the scenes from the premiere were still running though my mind. It was a fantastic experience then, and it still is today whenever I watch the tape I have of the pilot.

It sure was. I was like a kid in a candy store.
I couldn't get enough of BSG.

Wonderful, wonderful day. First terrific sci fi series since Star Trek TOS, and every bit as memorable.
