Hey folks,
Don't forget --- TONIGHT --- MARS will make its closest approach to Earth, in 60,000 years, and won't be this close for another 60,000 years!
From what I have gathered -- Southeast sky, around 10:00 PM
PRAY FOR CLEAR SKIES !!

And to think, 34 YEARS after Apollo 11, we've gone no further! There should be folks, up on Mars, looking back!

Mars was beautiful. Even without binoculars or a telescope.

Borrowed a pair of binoculars and could spot the poles even. Actually the first night I looked could see only one pole and since then have heard something about the tilt of Mars axis points the one pole towards Earth every so often. Two nights later I was able to spot both poles.
