Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2 Century!

Any Daffy Duck fans? With the proliferation of Japanese cartoons it's gettin' kinda hard for us baby boomers to find our good old fashioned shows, n'est ce pas?

Well look no further! The very famous Duck Dodgers in the 24th and 1/2 Century cartoon is back as a series of sequels! You can catch it on Cartoon Network Saturday mornings at 11:30AM. The first one was on yesterday and it was really great!

Who says you can't have a good continuation??? At least /these/ folks had the good sense to leave Daffy a male and not recast! :)

I love Daffy! My son even enjoy's watching him & old Bugs, and Tom and Jerry! Thank goodness, I get tired of seeing Dragon ball z, Yugioh (I hope that's spelled right).
We haven't watched duck dodgers yet, but I bet it will be good.

My son just saw what I typed. I keep forgeting he can read! He informed me that while spending time with his grand ma he did see Duck Dodgers and it was GREAT!
I feel left out, I havent seen it yet.:(

The first new ep was last Saturday, but I tuned in early and at 11:00 they showed the original ep, just before the new one. Maybe they will do that again this Saturday?

One of my friends told me that in one episode Duck actually gets made Green Lantern of Earth, and that Kevin Smith voices the classic Green Lantern Hal Jordan.

Today's ep was hilarious! They used pieces of Trek, Star Wars, Forbidden Planet, and the Iron Giant (the funniest one of all)!!!
This show ROOOOCCCKKKS! :D

Finally, a show I can share with my daughter and 2 totally different generations can enjoy it together!!!

(Martian Maggot roars overhead, nearly incinerating our hero...Marvin Martian scurries out with his Martian flag)

MARVIN: I claim this planet in the name of Mars. Earth? Isn't that lovely, hmm?

DUCK: Lithen, bub, thith planet ithn't big enough for the two of uth.

MARVIN: (producing disintegration pistol) I'm afraid you are right!

DUCK: (smugly addresses the camera) Little doth he realithe, I have on my dithintegration proof vetht! (turns to Marvin) You may fire when ready, grithly!

ZAAAPPPPPPP!!!!!!! (Marvin casually shoots our foolhearty hero, and walks away. Enter Cadet Porky with a "reintegrating pistol" who uses it to reconsititute our powdered water fowl.

DUCK: (leaps in surprise) WHO? WHAT? HOW? WHY? WHERE? WHEN? WHO? WHO?! (sees Porkus) Oh, you again?! Jutht when I had 'im goin', an' you hadda butt in! Now, get back in that spathethip!

CADET PIG: (stammers) Ehh..buddiihhhh...Yes, sir, Your Heroship...sir. (runs off)

Duck now zooms up behind Marvin with a pistol.

DUCK: AhA! Now, I've got th' drop on you with MY dithintegrating pithtol! And, brother, when it dithintegrates...it DITHINTEGRATES!

(Duck pulls the trigger, and the pistol crumbles out of existence.)

DUCK: (smiling sheepishly) Well, uh, whaddaya know...it...dithintegrated.

(Marvin returns fire, and the BATTLE BEGINS)

Ah....it is my 220 Terragigamegaquadrobyte 3.0Ghz brain with near total recall capability of many forms of entertainment. :D

Actually, I do have a good memory for stuff like that. That cartoon is one of my alltime faves. I haven't seen the actual cartoon in years. If we were to meet in person, I can do quite a few good impersonations, which some have described as uncanny.

Marvin Martian is in my reportoire. :D
