View Full Version : How do you like Tom's Galacticon logo?

We really needed to promote the Galacticon better, so I made up a logo. Something that matches our forums better. The official logo doesn't match our forums at all and would look kinda out of place here.

So I spent an hour and did soething that's been in the back of my mind for awhile. it came out pretty decent. And its a hell lot better than that scifi channel logo for BG, which I think looks really tacky. The official mini series logo looks like a bad video game logo.

Now to be honest... my logo was a first draft. I think it needs improvement. Speaking as a professional I think it is good, but not WOW. And I can do WOW. I just need to play around some more. :D

But for now... good will do :D


So now on the bottom of the page I present our GALACTICON LOGO!!!!!

It looks great as far as going with this site. We have banners available off the Galacticon site too that can just be dropped into any web page.

A VERY important thing: hotel is Sheraton Universal, Los Angeles, CA It's on Universal's property and close to their CityWalk.

(The closest airport is Burbank, LOL)

and I think there's a reason they saddled the title with the 2003 so it's "Galacticon 2003" IF you can add the year into the logo (Battlestar does have numbers in the font, though you might just want to use Futura, Battlestar's numbers aren't the best.... :p)

It's very pretty though.
